Elvis “The King” Presley has always been a popular musical artist since the 1950’s. His music was striving and is still popular today. From the start he was bound to become a musician. His music had created its own type of genre which is why it is so unique. Even from the grave he is still known for not only his songs, but the conspiracies surrounding him and his death. Elvis was a figure that was for sure ahead of his time.

Elvis Presley was, is, and will forever be known as the King of Rock and Roll. No matter what the public thought of him, he did what he loved because he believed in his music and lifestyle. The piano had not been popular in Rock & Roll at the time and was mainly used in churches for gospel music. Jerry Lewis played for his church and started to add his own style into the gospel music. This started his career in the business when he went to go record his first song in one take. He showed the people that the guitar was not the only instrument that could produce Rock & Roll and he created his own style of playing.

Despite his accomplishments in the music industry and the inspiration that he has been, Chubby Checker is currently not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, nor has he even been nominated for it. He himself and his successes may not be as well known as some other Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artists, but he has still managed to do things that few other musicians could say they’ve done. He has still made an impact in the music scene, though he’s not credited with for them as much as some other artists.
