It is hard enough for people in today's society to get their priorities straight as is. It is not easy for those craving the addiction of tobacco to pay for something they need, rather than they want. Some people spend over two hundred and fifty dollars a month and then there is those that pay in dimes and nickels at the gas station, scraping away to get a good puff in. Tobacco can cause loss of money and priorities.
Tobacco is the third caused death in the United States. Four hundred eighty thousand children have died from tobacco intake and over two million adults have this past year. When using any form of tobacco, you are not only risking your own life, but you are also risking others. Second hand smoke kills people too, it affects anyone, but mainly it affects infants and small children. Imagaine growing old with someone you love and finding out you have lung cancer. If you were to pass away, you would leave your loved ones behind and that is always devastating. The use of tobacco is unhealthy. It increases blood pressure, respiratory problems, and heart rate, just like cocaine or heroin would do. That may seem like a big comparison, however if it can save ones life, then it is necessary. Why would one want to potentially harm themselves? If you do the math, overtime, some would call tobacco use a suicide attempt. You are only making yourself worse when being around tobacco or using it. The nicotine in cigarettes forces you to become addicted to smoking and the more you consume, the more you you feel uncomfortable when quitting. This is what makes cigarettes so dangerous.
