The sea dragon is a small, delicate fish found in the tropical coastal waters of south and west Australia. Sea dragons look similar to and are in fact closely related to sea horses. There are two different species of sea dragon which are the leafy sea dragon and the weedy sea dragon. Although both sea dragon species have a similar body shape and size, they are very different in appearance. The leafy sea dragon is the master of camouflage, and being able to hide itself so easily amongst the plants means that the leafy sea dragon is rarely eaten, despite having numerous potential predators in the surrounding water. The weedy sea dragon does not look so elaborate, only having a few feather fins along its back. The weedy sea dragon has adapted to life on the sea bed as these feathery (weed-like) fins help the sea dragon to camouflage into the debris on the sea floor. The baby sea dragons are completely independent once they have hatched and feed on tiny nutritious particles in the
Researchers have witness something spectacular. In Enos Lake on Vancouver, similar species of a threespine stickleback fish lived there. One of the species usually lived in the middle of the lake eating zooplankton. The other specie lived in next to the shore eating larval stage insects. Within three years, the two species of the threespine stickleback fish disappeared. Researchers added crayfish into the lake. Researchers documented that within three years, 1994-1997, they saw less and less threespine fish, which they concluded it was the result of interbreeding. According to the University of Faculty of Science British Columbia stated, “The new stickleback fish does not perform all of the functions as its predecessors. The hybrid spends more

Sea Lampreys (Petromyzon marinus) are an invasive species of lamprey that, while native to marine environments, have moved into the freshwater great lakes. Sea lampreys first entered the great lakes through canals, which were revolutionary means of transportation at the times. There were multiple canals, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the great lakes. The lampreys were previously impeded by Niagara falls. Now with the canals connecting both bodies of water, there was no longer an obstacle.

Sea turtles are one of only seven species that survived the extinction of the dinosaurs which makes this line of creatures over 65 million years old (Cave, ¶2). These ancient animals are very special and have not changed since this time making them very sustainable to live in a changing environment, but only to a certain extent (Cave, ¶12). Sea turtles are an ancient species that are very important to marine life; because they are endangered, it is important to take steps to conserve these creatures.

In many sci-fi movies, it is often that a huge flying, fire breathing monster burns a valley city to the ground. While the human race has not proven fire breathing dragons, they did prove the komodo dragons’ existence. The dragons don’t breathe fire, but they do attack humans with powerful claws, powerful jaws, and poisonous saliva. Humans live on the Komodo Island with the dragons, and get attacked often. So do their pigs, sheep, and goats. Why are they attacking humans?
