THE BEST PET Out of the 24 animals possible for a class pet, i have chose the bearded dragon. The bearded dragon is a magnificent lizard that can have the most appealing colors, with its spikes growing on the bearded dragon they are not as harmful as they seem. They are becoming one of the most popular pets in the UK right now. The horns on its face and body do look frighteningly ferocious but its is actually just a part of their skin and is used for intimidation. The bearded dragon seems almost perfect for a group of kids! SPECIAL NEEDS AND WHAT TO KNOW The bearded dragon is a reptile and is known for living for about 15 years or sometime around then. But there are some things you need to know in order to keep your horned lizard happy and
Passionate, enthusiastic and energetic; the dragon can be seen as a “big mouth” and demanding; dragons mend with rats, snakes and monkeys. Dragons are seen to not work well with the

An example of decorations would be a vine, logs, foliage, a background, or even a statue. For tank lighting, you will need a UVB light and a heat light. The lighting will cost anywhere from sixty to a hundred dollars. If you plan on breeding expensive morphs of Bearded Dragons then they will cost around $150 dollars each. If you just plan to breed common Bearded Dragons, you could probably pick up a pair for seventy dollars. In addition, you will need a form of water mister. An example of a mister would be a spray bottle. That can run anywhere around three dollars at a pet store. The food source is very important, and food can be expensive. “Bearded dragons are omnivorous [meaning they will eat both insects and vegetables]” (Bearded Dragon Guide). Blaptica Dubia roaches are the food source I am incorporating in this estimate. “Dubia Roaches are one of the few insects which actually bear live young and so there are no messy eggs dotting your substrate or egg crates”(“Blaptica Dubia Roaches”). Dubia Roaches are easier to maintain and reproduce faster and more than crickets and super worms. For the breeding habitat and the large breeding pack of Dubia roaches, it cost around $300 dollars. I would choose to have a colony of my Bearded Dragons food source so I would save money in the end. In addition to the roaches, you will need reptile vitamins to dust the roaches. The vitamin powered cost roughly twenty dollars. The incubator for the eggs will cost around seventy to a

In the novel, Dealing With Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede, the main character Cimorene is justified for what she does. Additionally, Cimorene made a big decision about being a dragon's princess because of her being uncomfortable as a normal princess and is perfect for because she is adventurous and brave to be one. She then becomes a princess of a dragon, named Kazul, since she didn’t want to marry Prince Therandil and faces many difficulties. She is not like a normal princess. Cimorene is justified to not act like a normal princess, because she has made the choice of being a dragon’s princess
For my report I will write about Pogona, otherwise referred to as the bearded dragon. These harmless reptiles are mostly found in Australia in ridged rocky regions. They enjoy climbing and can be found up on high rocks or on branches of trees. They are also typically found in dessert regions of Australia chilling on tree stumps and rocks. For pet dragon you will want a habitat that has a heat source on one side to keep it warm if needed and a small place to hide and climb on. They will also obviously need a shallow dish for food and water purposes.
Least Dragon is one of the most fascinating species in Thrag Island, the small dragon which has a gray-green coloration with frills that turn red when extended, and is one of the few non-fire breathing species. Its displays of behavior such as ritualized aggression, and reproductive courtship and also the defense mechanisms that this species uses makes this species’s survival one of the most fascinating in the island.
Can you grow a beard on-command? I didn’t think so, but a Bearded Dragon can. The Bearded Dragon would make an ideal pet for a couple reasons. First of all Bearded Dragons are easy to take care of because they don’t need a large space, and you don’t have to walk or play with them. Also, Bearded Dragons are cool looking. For example, their throat can expand into what looks like a black beard, and they have a crown of spikes around their head Lastly they are inquisitive creatures, so they like to look around and see what’s going on. In conclusion, Bearded Dragons have all the benefits of an exotic pet and few of the disadvantages.
Komodo Dragons are the largest species of lizards in the entire world, the biggest ones weighing three-hundred to three-hundred and ninety pounds with a length of eight to ten feet long. They are muscular with thick tails and long claws on their broad feet. An average Komodo Dragon will have four to five sets of sixty curved and serrated teeth in its lifetime. A Dragon’s eye sight and smell is so good that they can detect a rotting carcass from miles away! Komodos can even swim well due to their muscular tails.
Magic, something you only hear in fairy tales, see in movies, or the cheap fake illusions people use these days. To be fair there not that bad, but it’s not real magic. The kind of magic we uses is nothing like anyone has ever seen. How do we know magic you ask, well ever heard of dragons? Millions of years ago there were hundreds of dragons, which studied magic. Teaching each other magic. When the humans found out about the dragons power, they began to fear them even more.
The Physical Description of dragons. The dragons are, the largest of all serpents around the world. (Hinds 9) A dragon in Greek has a black colored belly, somewhat green scales, and the most bright and clear seeing eyes. (Hinds 23) “His Crest was gold, eyes of flash fires, His body swelled with poison, Three darting tongues, three rows of teeth.” (Hinds
In the book, the author tries to define the dragon and states that it was seen to look like a giant snake. He also explains how people saw dragons as sacred whereby it was seen as some type of guardian to the people and provided them with protection and natural needs like rain. The book also tells of people, who had negative beliefs against the dragons; these were mostly Christians who to some extent even fought with the dragons. The belief that dragons were strong and mighty was seen as true since people who defeated dragons, mostly armies, were remembered as very great men. The popular belief that dragons guard great treasures in their caves is seen in this novel whereby the author states that people in those days tried to enter dragon caves which were guarded by these dragons.
I have raised two bearded dragons and with over 15 years of experience I have a strong love for them.
Do you ever think about fire breathing, winged, scaly, sharp teethed lizards? Then you might be thinking about dragons. Some say that dragon are terrifying and mythical creatures, others say that they can be magnificent and beautiful.I think that dragons may be kind and carefull creatures.Lets see if we can make you think that too.
They are aptly named due to the use of their gular pouch, a large fold of skin around their neck with conical scales that when extended looks like a beard. This pouch is used, along with a display of teeth, to show aggression when they feel threatened, but can also be used to communicate mating intentions. Their body is covered in rough, raised scales that are used for collecting rainwater as they bend down low and let water trickle down towards their mouth. Their underside has smoother scales that when lying on a surface, can pick up vibrations and sense movement, and in the wild this incredible sense of touch was used to monitor the bearded dragons surroundings. Their eyesight is okay, lacking in depth perception while maintaining a large field of full colour vision, but another surveillance tool at the bearded dragons disposal is its parietal/pineal/third eye, located at the top-centre of the head it can only sense changes in light and dark and is used to warn the bearded
