A highway patrol officer in Ohio is being hailed as a hero. He saved the life of a truck driver after his semi-truck crashed. The officer's name is John Devers. There is a dash cam video that captured the accident, and the aftermath of it. On the video, you can hear Devers administering the chest compressions and telling the man to keep breathing. You can also hear Devers yell out, "Don't you die on me." Devers was with the man for 12 minutes before the medical workers arrived on the scene. The man was breathing when the medical workers arrived. It is obvious that the quick actions of the officer saved the man's life. There is a post on the Ohio State Highway Patrol Facebook Page that says when Devers found the man, he was taking gasping
Officer McNeil, along with three other officers, arrived on the scene just after midnight. Upon exiting their vehicles, a nearby pedestrian opened fire striking Officer McNeil several times. Officer McNeil returned fire and wounded the suspect. The suspect ran into an adjacent apartment complex and was captured after several hours of barricading himself inside.
In the case of Kusmider v State, Thomas Kusmider was told by his girlfriend that another individual had sexually assaulter her. Kusmider went to this individual's home where a confrontation ensued and the individual was shot by Kusmider (Brody and Acker, 2010). Even though the shot was not fatal, it was near his adam’s apple and blood began to drain down his windpipe. Upon the paramedics arrival, the individual was unresponsive, but enroute to the hospital, the individual began flailing his arms and was able to pull the breathing tube that had been inserted to help him breath. The individual died later on at the hospital.
It was a very tragic situation, an officer should always know who/what they are shooting at every time they pull the trigger. It is a hard story to read and the radio talk amongst the police is even worse. After the officers had fired their weapons, in the graphic footage from one of the officers body cams, you could hear the two officers talking. An officer can be heard in the footage
In the article "GSW" Courtney Moreno states the patient was a GSW: gunshot wound. The patient's information was unknown so he was referred as John Doe. He was heavily tattooed so they assumed he was a gang member. The Police arrived and were on scene much sooner than the EMTs were. They didn't call it in because they thought he was dead. While they were looking for clues towards the case, they noticed the patient was still alive. The piece of his mind that controlled his breathing remained, amazingly, in place. They rushed him to the ER. They then knew this was a case of a dying man. The patient passed away in the ER. Moreno's partner didn’t think he was worth saving. Moreno didn't think it was their decision whether someone dies or not. After
On July 5, 2011, two officers tried to search Kelly Thomas but he resisted. When taken into custody, excessive force and beatings happened, and Thomas’ thorax was compressed in the process causing him to choke on his blood. [Thomas] died five days later after he was removed from life support (Llyod). As Wood states, “By that evening riots had begun in South Los Angeles that would go on for six days and have an impact on race relations in America that continues to this day.” Both officers were not charged for order placed against them. This event became very public, as a 33 minute video was released. “Anyone who has seen the grainy but graphic 33-minute video of the incident must acknowledge that it is hard to square with the jury's conclusion
His family, just awhile after the incident, gave a statement stating how “frustrated” both them and the detectives were. Legally, the detectives can not hold them “accountable” (Doc C). This directly proves my point on why a bystander should have legal responsibility when witnessing first-hand death. The man could have survived if he had pulled out of the water and taken to the emergency room, he would have had a chance. This is a murderous story.
In the panyee football video, by Matt Devine the boys learned you can’t take everything for granted because the learned that you can’t take everything for granted because the boys lived on a small floating island making space hard to find, because the pitch was shaky and uneven, and lastly because the boys had no help at all. It all starts with one of the boys thinking of creating a football team. They needed a pitch but they do not have the sufficient room. They have to do something about these problems so the team can practice. Overall, I think that the boys had to practice a lot and have a lot of inner confidence in themselves to build a pitch.
In this video Matt Cutts discusses how people can try something that they really always wanted, just for 30 days and, based on the experience of Morgan Spurlock, Matt Cutts proposes removing or adding things in your life for 30 days. He proposes to add things, like biking to work, 10,000 steps a day, take a picture a day or even write a book and also remove things, like TV, sugar, caffeine and twitter, just for 30

Despite the new discoveries in medicine whether it is a new vaccine or antibiotic, the most basic components for disease prevention and death in humans depends on a good nutrition and access to clean water. The RX for Survival: Back to the Basics video depicts how both an inadequate nutrition and malnutrition can impaired a child’s physically and developmentally. It is estimated that over 100 million children in the world are undernourished and causing the death of more than “one third” of the children (WHO). Furthermore, the consumption of contaminated water, which carries disease organism, exacerbates the mortality rate among children.

Eventually, the video ends with the police arriving, and that is the last you see of the incident. After this video, I was just in shock. How can you watch someone get hit by a car, hear his screams of pain, and still not help him? It amazes me that no one would go to the man’s aid.
I would personally wish to thank David Burge for his marvelous tale. Without David Burge’s article, I would never have realized what a 24-year old, Second Lt. Jordan Hendrickson did for those peoples in that car wreck. He gets an Army commendation medal for his courage that he served to help the civilian in the wreck, until the civilian police and firefighter arrive.
I have heard about Temple Grandin before she is autistic and figured out ways to make the cows less anxious when being slaughtered. It sounds like a bizarre field but to my understanding, she was absolutely brilliant at it because she viewed the world differently. How she views the world is just different and not abnormal, each of us views the world differently. Anyhow, her point is in this video is that autistic spectrum kids view the world differently and they are absolutely essential to our world today. Without these types of thinkers, we would not have engineers, scientists and many different types of people. She believes that we should cultivate these young minds and help them learn how to be the best they can be. I agree with her and
It is interesting to look at Wayne Goss’s perspective on sexuality in relation to how he structures his channel. Wayne Goss has multiple videos in his channel in which he states he is gay. In one video called “DO I LOOK GAY TO YOU…?” he states that some people don’t think he is gay because he has a ‘deep voice’ and a ‘beard’ (Wayne Goss, 2013) The sort of ‘masculine’ persona Goss tries to uphold in his videos, particularly when he does only ‘natural’ makeup tutorials on himself, also contributes to this phenomenon. However, one of his most telling videos on the subject of sexuality is a video titled “I AM GAY - MY COMING OUT STORY” (Wayne Goss, 2014). In this video, Wayne Goss talks about being gay and answers various questions on the subject.
