In this video Matt Cutts discusses how people can try something that they really always wanted, just for 30 days and, based on the experience of Morgan Spurlock, Matt Cutts proposes removing or adding things in your life for 30 days. He proposes to add things, like biking to work, 10,000 steps a day, take a picture a day or even write a book and also remove things, like TV, sugar, caffeine and twitter, just for 30
Let me say first thank you for giving us the opportunity to evaluate your company’s operational process. It has been a tremendous experience to be in a company that started out small and grew to one of the leading businesses in the industry. CanGo does have a promising future ahead. During our evaluation over the past two weeks, we have noticed a few things that will be a problem in the future if not resolved. It seems that the company has been profitable by chance not because of planning. At this point we feel the need to work on the planning aspect and all that it entails. There are six key issues and recommendations that we have made that we know
The Ken Burns' Jazz video was extremely interesting- I learned quite an immense amount of material in less than 90 minutes. A key impression that stood out to me was how a couple famous jazz musicians became so depressed and scared of others, who might steal their materials and styles of playing. Freddie Keppard even turned down the offer to possibly be the first jazz musician to be recorded, because he was afraid that musicians would begin using and stealing his work.
Video Analysis #1 Out of the several videos I have watched, I found Fred Tomaselli’s artwork to be the most intriguing. In his artwork, he finds unique ways to demonstrate symmetrical balance. His pieces also generate comforting emotion to the viewer’s eye. Tomaselli uses his artistic techniques to mesmerize his audience.
In the videos sports journalist David Zirin spoke about a common myth that sports and politics don’t mix. Zirin likes to point out that sports and politics are so imbedded into each other that we as fans don’t even notice. Sports seem to contradict themselves when there are constant militarism and patriotic acts being taken place at sporting events. Zirin pointed out military appreciation games where those in attendance had the chance to enlist at the game as a place where sports and politics mix. Zirin also speaks about how taking part in the game is often compared to war. The video had a football player speaking about the game he had just played saying it was a war and the other players were out to kill him and he was a soldier. By using these terms in a sports world, fans are exposed to a glamorized war and political terms. This becomes a form of
After watching the video, I could tell why we learn to listen to each others argument and be respectful to each other after debates. This argument was immature and lacked respect during their side of the debate. During the video Kent Hovind was telling us that evolution is false and that creationism is correct, he went on making fun of evolution and bashing out evidence of evolution. On the other hand Richard Dawkins and Bill Maher had made valid points but in a disrespectful manner. They had proven their point but kept on going after Kent Hovind in a revengeful manner. Overall I think that these people could not have a valid debate because they are childish and lack manners, especially in the case of bashing out each side to prove that their
Hi Florence Somers, nice to meet you my fellow classmate. The labor conditions in the Auret van Heerden’s video were some of the worst I have witnessed. Workers’ rights and trade are among some of the most controversial matters. Strict labor standards are the proponents of worker rights arguments. The key consideration is the impact that labor standard policies will create to improve human rights among trading partners. Another question that must be asked is will these policies keep the politically powerless workers mired in poverty? Labor standards should be enforced by democracies to establish a high moral ground.
This video was about George Alderdice who loss 500 pound and found a way to overcome obesity. He talked about the mindset that happen whuch hinders a person from winning the battle against obesity. Just starting the battle and allowing your self just to get started was a main problem among most youth. Many youth continually put off the start of their battle and deceived themselves into thinking tomorrow will be a better time. Tomorrow turns into next week or next month. Alderdice gave us his personal testimony of how his effort of swimming and running got him a job at the YMCA. The issue of proper nutrition was a major hang-up for youth also because of all the readily available unhealthy option.
Yes, I know what you mean my children do the same thing as well. They are always talking about why do I have to do it and they don’t and after that they always end up saying that’s not fair. Children are very vigilant they notice everything and how everyone is treated differently. The video that professor Mundle posted was very beneficial not only is it good for the teacher to use but as well as the parents. After watching the video, I can explain to my children and future class about fairness I do feel it will be beneficial and the home or class will run
It is argued that history can be very interesting in the normal state of mind but being under the influence makes the topic much more intriguing. We are presented with drunken history video capturing three distinct history incidents. The first video presents “Claudette Colvin and Rosa Parks”, second is “John Adams vs. Thomas Jefferson”, and final is “Breaking News: Some Bullshit Happening.” Two of the videos are presented in a unique under the influence presentation explaining historical events. Each video will be analyzed and broken-down of how each person used three categories of rhetoric which include a logical appeal defined as logos (OWLPurdue: Logo), an emotional convey known as pathos (OWLPurdue: Pathos),
Another important part of the ritual is giving up certain habits (like social media) for a week to decrease distractions and focus on what needs to be done. The elimination of distractions, even the ones inside of us, like fears and self-doubt is imperative to sustain a healthy creative mind.
This paper will be listing and describing the 5 GEARS that were mentioned in Jeremie Kubicek’s video. The gears are: “Reverse – Responsive Gear - backing up restarting or – apologizing when necessary; First Gear – Recharge Mode – when you fully rest and recharge; Second Gear – Connect Mode when you connect with family or friends without the involvement of work; Third gear – Social Mode when you are socializing; Fourth Gear – Task Mode when you are working and multi-tasking and Fifth Gear – Focus Mode when you are fully focused and 'in the zone,' working without interruption”, (Kubicek, 2015, p. 39).
I think it's great that Bozeman’s videos is in this module. Not only do I love his videos but also he does a great job of explaining such complex systems. In this video I heard a lot of stuff that I have learned in previous years like the diaphragm relaxes and contracts to let the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide happen. Also, the anatomy of the respiratory system to show where oxygen comes in and where it lead to. I did learn something new though. I have learned that the capillaries convert carbon dioxide to bicarbonate. Also, that the surface area in humans lungs amount to that of a tennis
In December 2017 a well-known YouTuber called Logan Paul released a video the content of which has majorly impacted the YouTube society and YouTube’s guidelines. In the video, one can see Logan Paul and a few of his friends deviated off the path in the suicide forest. While Logan and his team were there, they found and filmed a dead body for all his viewers to see. Although at the beginning of the video he provides a disclaimer and discusses in the introduction what he was about to show his viewers, he also states that he is not monetizing the vlog* ‘for obvious reasons.’ [*A vlog is a video and a blog. Similar to its online form however it differs in the way the information is delivered which is through filming, i.e his day-to-day life.]
This was a tremendous first week of learning. I believe what “squares up” with what I already knew is that relationships truly matter and many times educators forget this fact. It appears that many teachers are still operating informationally instead of transformational. In the text on page 14 it states, “Transformational teaching goes beyond the academic into the other great goal of education: socialization. The text, page 30, states, “Teaching with hope includes believing, really believing, in the potential of each and every learner and communicating that belief to the learner.” We have to believe that ALL students can learn at high levels, although high levels may look totally different for students.
YouTube has become the most popular video sharing website. It has variety of functions that enable a virtual organization to operate and have different kinds of virtuality impact. To compare with the other similar enablers, it has strengths and weaknesses.Advertising and marketing is the most significant one. You also can gain different technology impact from it. From the Web Reviews, we can see there are a lot of merits of YouTube. However, the copyright infringement is still the important problem of it.
