Do you even know what anxiety is? Do you know how it is to live with anxiety? Do you know symptoms of anxiety? Well I’m going to tell you how and what it is. Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease.
It is a nervous disorder characterize by a state of compulsive behavior and panic attacks. The symptoms of anxiety are usually problems sleeping, sweating of the hand and feet, shortness of breath, and an inability to neither stay calm nor still. Anxiety disorders affect millions of adults; usually begin in childhood to early adult hood. There is medication to help reduce symptoms of anxiety, which are anti- depressant. Anxiety can be paralyzing and life- destroying for those who suffer it acutely. Anxiety is neither a disease nor pathology. It’s more of a habit. Famous people get frantic and overwhelmed and more likely to take prescription drugs. When Michael Jackson and heath ledger died they found benzodiazepines in their autopsies. The person likeliest to abuse the drugs is a white man between the ages 18-34 who are addicted to alcohol, heroin, and painkillers and unemployed. Just by taking two pills and drinking 2 beers, gave them a high as drinking a whole 6-pack. This pill was focused more on women. Anxiety disorders are not the only people who experience anxiety; in fact, everyone feels it every day or experiences one. Anxiety is what you feel before an important test or before you get married the next day. Anxiety is the source of excitement and it is the butterflies in your stomach. Depending on how you interpret this feeling, it can be a good feeling or your worst enemy.
Anxiety is a feeling of unease, worry or fear. Everyone feels anxious at some point in their life, but for some, it can be an ongoing problem, which may have led to you avoiding certain situations where you feel you may feel most anxious. This of course, can exacerbate the problem for you, especially if these situations include work, socialising or travel.
Anxiety is an extreme mental disorder when an anxious feeling does not subside and is constantly ongoing without a particular reason (Blue, 2016). This mental health condition can be extremely serious and overwhelming and makes it very hard to cope with daily life (Blue, 2016).
