The industrial revolution, where unequal treatment in Textile production was all over England and Japan mostly around 1760. The textile revolution began in England around 1760. A series of inventions greatly changed the way cloth was made. After many inventions textile manufacture went from the home to the factory, so did thousands of English women. On the other side of the world in Japan, the industrial revolution was mainly about 1600s and 1700s, Japan worked hard to keep itself closed from the West. The industrial revolution was very important in England and Japan, they had very similar experiences. Document 7 shows that the males and females with the occupation of Loom Operator have different daily wages, males gain 40 pence and females just gain 26. That shows the unequal wages that they have. Document 8 discussed about the different occupations that males and females had. They used to work in the same occupation but males gained more than females. Females and males with the occupation of cotton mill worker gained a different wage, it shows that males gained 17 sen and women 9 sen per day. Most of the workers during the Industrial Revolution in England and Japan were females and they had very hard working conditions, they had to work 13 to 14 hours in a day and they had little breaks to eat. Females received a very unequal daily wage, they did most of the job and they always ended up getting low wages. Even though females did most of the work they received unequal treatment, they deserved to gain more money or to have a better job. Males did less work and they were superior, that was unfair. I would like to know how many women had to leave their education behind to start working to gain a little sens. Males always are treated better than females and females don’t receive an equal treatment in any
