MY READING AND WRITING EXPERIENCE
Since I born, I usually stay at my grandmother and my grandfather’s house. My grandparents helped my mom and dad to take care for me. I learned much from them. I grew very fast and started to learned reading. My grandmother was very patient to taught me. At first, I didn’t know nothing, and then I could reading because of her. She subscribed to buying a newspaper and magazine. She always reads it in the afternoon. She taught me to reading from newspaper and magazine. She also taught me to count.
Before I entered kindergarten, I have already could to read and write. This made me didn’t feel difficult to learning it at kindergarten. My mom said that I was a fast learner because my friend at kindergarten haven’t
Ever since I was in elementary school, I have had a strong fascination with literature. Overtime, I had a plethora of books lining my bookcases and barely had room for any more. Reading was a necessity to me and it still is to me today. I eat, sleep, and breath literature because I feel like it’s essential to my academic career. Literature does many wonderful things like, teach me about life lessons, transport me to a new world that I have only dreamed about going to, and discover new vocabulary.
A child learns his/her first word from a mother. She teaches her children how to take an initial step in reading and writing. I have different experiences in the journey of literacy. I remembered how my mother used to teach me mathematical tables to strengthen my reading. It was my first lesson of reading. Afterward, comes my teacher who polishes me as a reader and a writer. In my journey of literacy, I remembered how a page of a book in English class helps me to strengthen writing and reading ability; furthermore, it creates love for reading in me. For me, a book is a doctor and reading is a medicine which treats during the time of
In this essay, I will talk about my reading life when I was younger and how I am now. When I was a young kid my parents would read to me. When I was in grade school they told me that education can go farther than other stuff. Finally, when I have gotten older I have started to read less and less because I’m not very good at writing and reading.
I was born on Jakarta. I live in villa tangerang regency 1. The first time I was able to read is when I was In kindergarten. Actualy, my mom also told me, how to read an alphabet and read the number, but I can read well on kindergarten. I can read what is written on the book. “There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book.” Frank Serafini. Literacy is a very important skill in this modern world. No matter where we go, if we cannot read or write the language it can make things very difficult. Since the very day that we were all born, it was instilled upon us to learn to read and write our native tongue. If we do not have the skills necessary to do this, how will we ever learn and grow? Learning to read and write is a life-long pursuit in which the goal can never completely be achieved.
Individuals gauge their progress through life via milestones, such as learning to walk or ride a bike. Learning to read falls into this category. However, unlike walking and biking, reading skills are not suddenly obtained and then static throughout life. After learning to read initially, an individual’s reading skills, interests, and purposes further develop and change throughout their life. Furthermore, the means by which an individual improves their reading capabilities change over time as well. In the same way, I initially improved my reading ability and changed my interests through the help of my parents, then later my teachers, and finally, in spite of a dark period of little improvement, through my own effort.
Hello, guys! Today, I want to tell you about my first time reading and writing. In the past, my family was not rich. So, i learned to read and write in a simple way. My mom bought a paper carton contains letter of the alphabet were purchased at roadside. My mom spent a paper carton only Rp 3.000,- for one paper carton. Besides, my mom bought a paper carton that contains about numbers one until one hundred. Then, my mother bought me some small books for a writing exercise. I began to learn to read and write at two years old when I was living in a small house. I lived in a small house with my mom and dad. I started studying at hoe in the morning with my mom. And then, the first thing I learned is read numbers
As a child, I had always been fascinated with the ocean, even more so, those who dare braved to conquer it. Every Saturday, in the early afternoon, my father would take me down to the dock, and I would stare in awe at the many ships going in and out as he fed the sea gulls. However, on these Saturday's, I would always keep my eye open for one specific ship. The only yacht to ever dock on a Saturday afternoon was steered by Captain C. Fitz.
In the beginning of English 10179 I dreaded any type of writing. I have never been a strong writer from the beginning. English has always been my worst subject because I feel as though when I write, I write simple and basic. My biggest weakness in writing has always been expanding my thoughts, adding detail into my writing, and citing sources. For example, before I took this course, my writing was as boring and bland as, “The dog ran away.” That may have been a slight exaggeration, but in all seriousness, I had no idea what I was doing when I was writing. In my first essay I used the sentence, “I classified two people in this world, celebrities and normal people.” Sentences like this have been found in several of my papers over and over again. Every time I tried to write a paper I felt as though I could not expand my paper long enough to make it interesting. Though this English course has been one of the hardest classes I have taken, it is also one of the only classes that has taught me so much in such a short amount time. After reading my graded papers, I have learned to take out these overly vague sentences, stretch them, and add significant detail. This class has pushed
My grandma and aunt taught me how to read before I started school as a kid. I did not like to read much as a kid in school. Reading helps a lot of people out even in school or something important. Reading now has gotten much easier for me as I have gotten older. My journey as a rader has helped me in school.
My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college.
In this semester, my writing experience is excellent. In Every single course, I learn something about my math, English, fundamental of public speaking course. That class brings different task for me in course period. One of my courses I drop in this semester is philosophy, I don’t want to drop this course but in some circumstances. I have to drop my class And I feel good about my decision. I take on that theme.
When I was younger I started learning how to read and write. My mom started to help me read and write because it was important that school was my main focus. Even though I was very young I stayed consistent on reading and writing. Most parents start early with their kids on learning getting ready for school. At first, I didn’t like it because all I use to do was sit up and play the game. I didn’t want to do anything else until my mom brought a book in my room and told me to start reading. I looked at the book funny because I didn’t know what to do with it, so my mom sat with me and started to teach me how to read. When you read a lot, your writing comes easy because you’ll have loads of comprehension and know how to spell words. My mom has played a big role in my life when it came down to school. She stayed on top of me when it came down to my school work because she wanted me to be someone in life. With her teaching, me how to read and write early it wasn’t easy because sometimes I use to get frustrated and say that “I hate reading and writing”. When I started school my goals to bring my mom home A’s and B’s on my report card. When it came down to my work I was always focus. When I first started school, I knew a lot because I started reading and writing early.
The average, uneducated person believes that being a good reader and writer do not correlate, but through many experiments and research, scholars have come to the conclusion that in order to become a good writer, first good reading technique is needed. This skill can be very challenging to master. A good reader must not only be educated but also must obtain a sense of position in the world. Understanding what’s going on around them and to express empathy and in depth emotion while reading. Good reading and writing skills derive from reading indulgently in many different genres and reading analytically; then those skills gathered to mimic authors’ styles and to create a unique way of writing.
It was my second grade year and I was only 7 years old when I first found my hatred for anything that had to do with reading or writing. Every week my teacher would give us a lengthy list of vocabulary words that we had to memorize before our spelling test the following week. I would study for periods at a time trying to memorize these gruesome lists of words that I could never remember. When it came down to the day of the test I would see all my classmates at ease while I would panic trying to remember what I studied. When it finally came time to take the test I hear the teacher call the word “island” but the only thing I could hear was noise In a room full of silence. I was frustrated I couldn’t think, the teacher would ask is everyone ready to move on and I wouldn’t say anything because I was too shy. After a couple of days I would get my score back and would not be surprised when I found out that I had failed the test. Week after week this became a recurring theme when I got back my spelling test. Following this experience I accepted the fact that reading and writing was just (not my thing).
