In this passage, the writer achieves a very effective style and language in order to create a sense of immersion and truly understand their experience. The methods that the author uses to convey the sense of immersion are imagery and perspective in order to successfully achieve a powerful style and language. As a result of this, the author creates powerful language and style to truly convey their experience.
The paint is really amazing. The idea meets the objective of the message. As you can see the shapes interact with each other by the painter use unique color that matched almost all the colors used in the entire painting. Some of the edge is hard while some parts are soft. Like on the left side by the lady on red with black hat. That was hard. While the image on her right looks soft. The image of the people on the painting seems to overlap each other. While that on the front seems to be bend.
Kinesics in communication does not only have to do with facial expressions, however – it also includes body movement, posture, and gesture (Dynel, 2011). A communicator can manipulate their body in ways that can potentially exaggerate whatever it is
Whether it be staying late at the batting cage, running those extra set of bleachers in the morning, going for that early morning jog, or going in and getting the extra lift in, “Just Do It” can be the trigger to any fire that motivates those to get up and start working on their goal. “Just Do It” can be a motivationally enforcing slogan because it is telling you just go do what it is that you want to do. Don’t just sit around, get up and make it happen, whatever it is. It is the perfect slogan to promote everyone to stop second guessing their actions. “Just Do It” brings a can-do attitude to those who follow the slogan.
Another form of non-verbal communication the author witnessed was the use of gestures and hand movements. (Stretch, 2010) Suggested that the use of hand movements will help the listener to understand what the other person is saying. Andy and Jonathan appeared to have an understanding of the conversation as they were replying to each other, smiling and nodding their heads throughout the interview.
During the 2012 Republican Presidential Primary, Rick Santorum launched a sharp-witted, indelible, and metaphorically induced campaign advertisement called “Rombo.” The ad targets one of his many opponents, Mitt Romney. In his own words, we begin this advertisement with an opening splash screen and voice overlay of Rick Santorum proclaiming his approval of this message. The dialog is self-authored by “A Trusted Conservative” and a family portrait of the Santorum family is pictured.

Reading “Mother Tongue” again, while using the techniques from module two, Amy Tan’s goal has not changed. She enlightened the audience to the barriers that still exist today. By understanding that a problem exists is the first step to problem resolution. Since this was personal for the author, there were many heartfelt emotions associated within this text. I feel that the author has achieved her goal. There are many techniques, however, I feel she utilized everything to her advantage, which she felt necessary in achieving her goal
Throughout the speech, the speaker used nonverbal communication many of times. To begin, he was constantly using his hands as he spoke to place emphasis on what he was saying and draw the listener in. Further, his entire body moved as he spoke which shows the listener that he is interested and engaged in what he is speaking about. Finally, as stated above, direct eye contact was not lacking in this speech which gives the listener the feeling that not only is the speaker interested in what he is talking about but that they should listen to him because he is powerful and knowledgeable in this area. Overall, nonverbal communication was of quality but I would

As because of short of time we took 3 major factors which we think need to be researched for our project. As conclusion, we found there is a difference between body language of men and women. Most of the people don’t notice about the body language during their presentation or in their office work. But it is very important in our professional as well as in our personal lives. Culture is the most important factor that influences people’s body language and behavior. Everyone learns from their culture and their native background about their behavior and body language that includes gestures everything. Teachers play a big role in learning of people’s body language. As everyone has their idol, someone has teachers as their role model so they learn from them their body language and other behavior. The speaker used a story about her back injury, and how the back injury made her realize other important things in life, like family, besides sports as her attention getter. The speaker had my attention because she spoke in a story-telling, suspenseful voice and had an interesting topic. She used gestures like nodding her head throughout her speech. She also used hand gestures to emphasize points, but she only used hand gestures a few times. She appeared very confident because she had great volume, a strong tone, great audience eye contact, looked comfortable in front of the audience, and maintained good posture. The speaker kept great audience eye contact throughout the speech. She had
As Others See Us: Body Movement and the art of Successful Communication by Ellen Goldman is about a journey to the interior of the art of communication, and to see the relationship between one’s physical behavior and what is in one’s mind. In the book, Goldman shares her knowledge about Integrated Movement, which it “merges a posture and a gesture with a consistent quality, dynamic or shape” (Goldman, 23). Goldman helps the New York’s respected Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, which is to analyze and train the body movements of each mover in order to have full expression when communicating. In 1980, Goldman becomes a member of the Action Profilers International and serves for ten years at the General Council. Later in her life, she collaborates with Dr. Deborah DuNann Winter to test different theories of the Action Profiling System. In order to gain more experiences and trainings in the field, she also joins the training group in the Kestenberg Movement Profile with Dr. Judith Kestenberg. In this essay, I compared Ellen Goldman’s book As Others See Us with Sarah Trenholm’s Thinking Through Communication: An Introduction to the Study of Human Communication. While reading Goldman’s book, I found out that the examples she uses in the book is really easy to understand, and as a reader, we can simply relate those examples to our daily life. By reading Trenholm’s text of Body Movement and Gesture, we can learn some general ideas of what is body movement and
In my research online on “How to improve public speaking or oral communication skills” I would like to discuss the source I found on how to improve your public speaking with body language. We went over this several times in class and it was in our test we took at the beginning of our course. Body language is an important aspect of giving a speech, because you are not just speaking with your mouth when you present. You use body language to communicate with your audience as well. We use body language in everyday life as well, when we are talking to our friends, or when we are afraid or upset about something. Nonverbal communication is in our gestures, eye contact, facial expressions, posture, and movement. Hand gestures can add to your speech or take away from your speech tending on how you use them. It is important that your make your hand gestures as natural as possible. It says to stand straight with your arms bent at the waist and relax them.
