One person who showed perseverance was Walt Disney.Walter Elias Disney showed perseverance. He showed perseverance by not giving up what he wanted to do. Before he became "Walt Disney", he worked with the newspaper doing cartoons and advertisements. he got rejected from the newspaper because of his "lack creativity".But soon Walter and his brother made a company called laugh-o-grams. After they lost laugh-o-grams they made Oswald the little rabbit. they soon made Walt Disney World years later. Even though they struggled in the past, it payed off when they made Walt Disney world Disneyland, and animated movies. He showed a lot of perseverance. Before Walt Disney possibly started one of the most famous companies in the world, he faced adversity. Disney’s first job was in Kansas City. He started new job writing, but the job didn’t last long. Disney got fired, because he wasn’t creative enough. Disney started having troubles after losing his job. He went bankrupted twice and almost a third time. Disney created the laugh-o-gram, but had to leave it behind because he didn’t receive any profit. At the age of twenty-two Disney met a man named Roy Turner. Disney and Turner
Walt Disney was a very influential man to the entertainment industry. He made animation a whole new type of entertainment. Although Walt went through many struggles and problems, he pushed on and eventually saw results for all his hard work. Many hardships got in Disney’s way such as unsupportive parents and even bankruptcy; Walt pushed on through, always creating, working hard, and persevering to accomplish his dream.
The film Cinderella Man shows multiple examples of perseverance. Perseverance is when someone is determined to go through tough obstacles and difficulties, no matter how hard they seem to be. If someone were to face obstacles that seem impossible, they could go through them, or persevere, and try their best to overcome it instead of just giving up. If someone was to have perseverance, they would be persistent and continuously stay in the state they are, no matter how hard their problems are. Cinderella Man has multiple examples of this because the main character, James J. Braddock, perseveres through the difficult time that is the Great Depression. He took risks to fend for his family and never succumbed to his negative feelings when he faced problems that would feel almost impossible. James Braddock had shown examples of perseverance in the movie Cinderella Man.
Perseverance changes everyone's lives no matter how big, or how small the change is. Steven King has persevered through his rough times writing his first novel. So has Buck, the main dog in Call of the Wild. He has never given up on what he’s strived for. There are a ton more perseverance examples in life, and books on how someone had a rough time, got through it, and succeed.
In 1919 Walt completed his service in the Red Cross. He then moved back to Kansas City where he got a job in a Commercial Art Studio. While working in the Studio Walt became friends with Ub Iwerks. He would later become the key animator for the Walt Disney studios. Disney and Iwerks formed a short lived business that Disney took the remaining assets and 15,000 from local investors to create laugh-o-gram films and to move out to LA. Once in LA, Disney called Margaret Winkler, a film distributor, to announce his production of the laugh-o-grams. The laugh-o-grams featured a live girl, Alice who interacted with animated characters. In 1923 Winkler agreed to buy half a dozen Alive in Cartoonland films. Later that
How many times in life have you struggled but got through a difficult time? That is called perseverance. The definition of perseverance is “Steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” Synonyms are persistence and determination. It originated from the latin word perseverare. Right now the world has been filled with natural disasters, from hurricanes to wildfires. Everyone that this affected has been forced to persevere through it because there is not much that they have the ability to do besides staying strong. In all of the nonfiction literature we have read there were many different examples of perseverance from many different people. I decided to choose three. For my first example Melba Pattillo Beals from “Warriors Don’t Cry”. There is numerous examples of the Little Rock 9 and her doing something despite difficulty. For the second example of perseverance I chose Maya Angelou. Through her life there were countless times that she was faced adversity and still achieved success. My third example is Earl Simmons (DMX) from the book “E.A.R.L”. He went through a tough time at almost all time growing up and he never gave up and achieved success. Perseverance creates success; therefore, when you stick through something you can accomplish what you want.
Another piece of literature that shows perseverance is Temple Grandin. She had autism and at the time when she was born, they didn’t know much about the disability. So she grew up with problems
Walt Disney was a producer of motion-pictures and television shows. He was a showman and is famously known as a pioneer of animated films and the creator of “The Happiest Place on Earth,” Disneyland. “Try to imagine a world without Walt Disney. A world without his magic, whimsy, and optimism..”(Brad A.) Well all know Walt Disney as the creator of Mickey Mouse and the man who made the first Disney movies and cartoons famous. Walt Disney did so much more than just make Mickey Mouse. He touched hearts and made a positive impact on so many people’s lives. He also made Disney famous around the world. Today there is Disney themed parks in Hong Kong, Paris, and Tokyo. Along with the famous Disney Land in California and the famous Disney World in Florida.
Perseverance is the only thing that will truly keep the world alive. If humans had given up instead of persevering America would not exist, tyranny would reign and slavery would still exist. Several characters throughout literary history, such as Odysseus from Homers’ Odyssey, and Louis Zamperini in Unbroken are the prime examples of perseverance, and they did it through personal strength and determination to not be broken. After all, it is better to persevere and live a hellish life than to relinquish that life in order to live more comfortably in the hands of those who seek to degrade the soul.
There comes a time in life when perseverance shows one’s true potential. The story“Unbroken” written by Laura Hillenbrand shows legendary runner Louie Zamperini and showed how he truly represented that. Throughout this story it displays what the true meaning of perseverance; whether, it’s something as little as staying committed to track or fighting in World War Two and trying to fight for life even if there seems like there’s nothing to fight for. If someone is commited no matter the time or the difficulty that doesn’t just show perseverance, but it shows one’s true ability to fight for and try for something they want to accomplish.
Walter Elias Disney once said “If you can dream it, you can do it.” This is his most famous quote. He never gave up on anything, which is mostly why everything he has done is amazing. Walter Disney’s most important accomplishments in life are impacting mass media, creating all of the Disney companies, and showing society what imagination is. Walter Disney has made such a big impact on how animators make animation and movies.
Perseverance is something that everyone experiences in their life. The definition of perseverance is “steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.”. Perseverance is a big theme in the story “Into the Wild” by John Krakauer. Chris McCandless had to go through a lot of perseverance to get to Alaska. When Chris first started his adventure he needed to break free from the high life style that he was raised in, also the abuse and lies his father has caused on him and his family.
Helen Keller had perseverance because when she learned sign language she did not give up for one second. also, it was because she always believed in herself that she could do it.
Walt found his fight to compete with “Felix the Cat” in “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit”. In a moments notice, Walt’s character had gone from his mind to Iwwerks hand and straight into the hearts of his viewers. Charles Mintz quickly took control of all of the accounts that Winkler was handling, which meant Oswald too. The people loved Oswald and they wanted more and so did Disney. As he went to the producing studios he was caught completely off guard, due to the fact that the producing company and Mintz owned all the rights to Oswald and many of the animators working under him were contracted to them as well. If he didn’t do what they asked, then he would loose his achievement. In the end, he did not do what the company wanted.
