After a shaky start on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, the Houston Texans were able to dominate the Chicago Bears throughout the second half and come away with a 23-14 week one win. On the game’s opening drive, Texans quarterback, Brock osweiler, looked like he was going to drive the team down the field, and then threw an interception to defensive back Tracy Porter. Chicago’s offense was able to put seven points on the board off of the turnover. Texans running back Lamar Miller put in a lot of work as Houston began moving the ball and was a huge part of the first scoring drive for Houston which ended in a field goal. Osweiler then led his team down the field for another score, connecting on a 23 yard pass with wide receiver …show more content…
Houston was then able to put together another touchdown drive that ended with a screen to Houston wide receiver, Will Fuller, who has able to run with the ball 19 yards to the end zone. The Texans defense then turned up the heat on the Chicago offense and Whitney Mercilus was able to strip sack Cutler, which led to another Houston field goal off of the turnover. For as banged up as they were, the Houston offensive line played a lot better than I was expecting. They gave their quarterback enough time to complete 22-35 passes and accumulate 231 yards in the process. Despite losing a fumble that Houston was able to recover, running back Lamar Miller was also able to be productive, running the ball 28 times for 106 yards. The player that stood out the most Sunday for the Houston Texans offense would have to be rookie wide receiver, Will Fuller. In his first regular season game, Fuller set a team record for Houston with for the most yards by a wide receiver in their NFL debut. Fuller was able to rack up 107 yards on five receptions. I also kept my eye on Jadeveon Clowney throughout the game. He was able to get off to a great start this season with three solo tackles and sacking Jay Cutler
A bit of magic from the Bears halves in the opening minute of the second half led to a Nicholls try, which immediately increased their lead to 28-12.

Also, the inconsistent play of Broncos' running back C.J. Anderson finally came to an end. This season was expected to be a breakout year for him, and he hasn't met those expectations thus far. Finally, he had the breakout game against the Patriots finishing with 113 yards, and 2 touchdown performance. Anderson was the one who sealed the game in overtime with a 49-yard touchdown run. One could argue that it was the running game that defeated the Patriots, not Osweiler.
Foles was terrific completing 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the championship game. Clement was very impressed with Foles performance, who has really stepped up in the
During the annual Ely Tigers v. Dilard Panthers football game, the game was decided at the end of the 4th quarter during a touchdown scoring catch. The wide receiver, Donnell Wilson, caught the ball in the end zone to score. It was a clean catch in the right place at the right time that resulted in the game-winning touchdown.
The first half of the Peach Bowl was a defensive duel, and Houston Football shut down Florida State. The 3rd Ward defense made Dalvin Cook a total nonfactor, and other than two long passes to start off a couple of drives the QB play of the Seminoles was another nonfactor.
Postma completed a 12 yd pass to Chance Allen, and the second time the same duo did not complete the pass and turned the ball over on downs on the Memphis 5 yard line. However, Memphis QB Paxton Lynch threw an interception to give the ball back to Houston, who scored another touchdown on seven plays on 2 minutes and 19 seconds. The defense came out ready to stop the Memphis offense and caused a three and out. That lead to Houston once again marching down the field to score on a 7 yd run by QB Kyle Postma to tie the game at 34 all and the extra point gave Houston the lead
Grove City had a nice drive going in the third that had taken the ball out to their own 43-yard line, while totaling
A huge contributor to the big offense of day was Mr. reliable tight end Greg Olsen who had eight catches for a career-high 134 yards and two touchdowns! He took the Saints defense to school specifically cornerback Brandon Browner running right past him for a 52 yard chunk play that sparked the offense! The Saints left him wide open on many plays all I can say is thank you much appreciated! I continued to say this he is one of the best tight ends in the league;he is the veteran presence this offense needs with all the young players and Sunday his play seemed to rub off on the other receivers and opening up other big plays for the offense great execution all around and once again thank you to the Chicago Bears for giving us Greg Olsen!

Quarterback Will Grier completed 12-of-18 passes for 202 yards. David Sills led the wide receivers with six catches for 96 yards.
Julian Edelman had 11 receptions for 97 yards, Rob Gronkowski had five receptions for 94 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Dion Lewis, who clearly looks like he is Shane Vereen's replacement, had four receptions for 51 yards, out of the backfield. Brady ended his night going 25 for 32 with 288 passing yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Now that is how you come out firing on all cylinders in the opening game against an opponent who is known for having a hard nose defense. At one point, Brady completed 19 consecutive passes, which was a franchise record for completions in a game, as he picked apart the Steelers defense piece by piece.
Matthew Stafford threw two touchdowns, one interception on 242 yards, after 24 completions in the
