High School? Many people would agree that some of their favorite memories occurred during this portion of their lives. I view high school as some of the most critical years in a young person’s life. The trials and tribulations that you will go through during those four years can set the tone for important future events to come. Young and naive teenagers will be exposed to many things during their high school careers. They will most likely not be able to comprehend just how dangerous some of these situations are. I was able to see some of these situations unravel right before my eyes. When I was growing up I watched my older brother make quite an example of himself. He became involved in recreational drug use and habitual partying. According to the Teen Rehab Center “Statistics of drug abuse in high school show that 86% of this age group know someone who smokes, drinks, or does drugs during the school day” (“A Look at the Stats of Drug Use in High School”). That is a very alarming fact that is leading to our youths incompetence. …show more content…
His grades plummeted, his behavior was erratic at times, and consequently he did not graduate from high school. Although this was his problem, it effected everyone in our household . The choices he made throughout high school are still causing him hardships, even today. Seemingly, he still has the same maturity level that he had when he first started abusing drugs. This has caused numerous problems over the years. Some of these problems include him falling behind his peers, lack of confidence, and depression. Which only results in the drug abuse
This will be my first quater at Drexel. From what I assume college finals will be a lot different from high school finals. In high school, I really would not do much to prepare finals. I would usually just study two days prior to the exam, because that would be all I needed. Typically I would make flash cards for all key terms and points and review those before the test. My study habits were not the best. However, having started college I believe that I have better learned how to study.
If Middle Football is Going to Last People Need to Get Their Head in the Game.
Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.
When I think of the word academy, I think of bettering your education on a path that better prepares you for your specific career interests. At an academy that is exactly what I am looking for. My goals for attending an academy, is to take classes that challenge my interests and to come out of the experience, better prepared for the life, I specifically, want to live. I am not looking for your average high school experience. My hope is that the academy system will set me on a path filled with, yes, the average school requirements, but also classes and extracurricular activities that will better my learning in a field that I am actually interested in. When I come out of the academy , my goals are to come out a changed person, to be able to

Everyone has a different opinion about Middle school, because we’re all different. Middle school is a weird time for anyone I think though. There are outsiders, nerds, emos, jocks, band geeks, theatre nerds, trouble makers, and a lot more. It’s the kind where you first start out to be in your groups we all have a purpose, but in middle school and high school we take it way too far I feel.
My life has been a test since I turned into an online student. Every day I am currently battling to adjust coming home from being at work all night, my life and my school work are hard to balance. Just to let you know what I do at work my positions on my job is housekeeping supervisor and I work at Parkland Hospital Tuesday through Sunday, and I leave home going to work at 8:30 pm it takes me 35 minutes to get there so I won't be late. When I get there, I start getting thing ready for my employee’s. So, I must start printing material that everybody needs so when they come we will be ready to start our meeting with the staff and begin working. We prepare rooms for the patient to be checked- in the hospital. With every one of these obligations, my work night is full, and I regularly don't have time to take a break before it is 7:30 am and start my drive home.
Every year many high school seniors graduate and most of them go to college to continue their education. At their age they are already given so many responsibilities under the law and some would even say that they are already considered as adults. There are some high school seniors that are already working at this age while going to school at the same time. Some students take honors, advance placement, and college classes to help them in college. But there are some that still gets in trouble and still come in late for school. So what makes someone adult? Is it some kind of biological phenomenon or some kind of psychological phenomenon that constitutes whether someone is considered an adult? A high school senior has a lot of ups and downs characteristics that makes it difficult to decide whether they really fit the definition of an adult.
Middle school: an educational stage which exists in most countries providing education between primary school and high school. I like to phrase it as the in-between stage of life. Middle school was not my finest stage of life, and it was, without a doubt, the most emotional stage of my life. Would I want to relive my middle school years? No, I would not want, but even though they were not the best, they served as a beneficial learning stage.
This year in 8th grade, my fellow students and I were taught several skills in Geometry, Language Arts, Science, P.E, and History. Many of these skills I have learned in these classes can benefit me in my high school years. From these skills, the first skill I believe will help immensely in high school is time management. The second skill that I've found beneficial is the ability to think and act quickly. Finally, the third and most important skill is the ability to concentrate on assignments. These three skills will definitely help make high school be less difficult and much more comfortable.
Towards the end of my sophomore year I went through some personal problems that caused my grades to drop. It was unexpected and I was devastated due to the fact that I set out to reach my goal of a higher GPA that year. The shock of my grades only worsened the situation and slowly I began giving up. I maintained average grades with the help of my teachers and I set a few goals for myself. My goals included, a GPA of 3.5 or above, at least a 20 on my ACT, and to overall try to better my mental state. With hard work, I was able to raise my grades and have above a 3.0 GPA by the end of my sophomore year. The start of junior year was my chance to accomplish my goals, but I was faced with even more challenges. Same as before, my grades began to
Life has struggles, but struggles produced growth and transformation. Throughout my high school years, I faced challenges to juggle between schoolwork and various kinds of activities and commitments. It has not only caused me to stumble, but it also made a positive impact in my life.
When the end of summer approached, I believed I was prepared of what 7th grade was going to throw at me. I was wrong. I had tons of homework. School overall was stressful. The best way to solve this problem was to not procrastinate, it was my main goal this school year. Reducing the amount of time playing on electronics would not only make my school life less stressful, but making my parents happier about me not playing as much as I usually do.
Friends need to be real friends and stop turning blind eyes. Parents need to ask more questions. Schools need to be more informative about the hazards of drugs and alcohol. No matter if it seems they do not want or need help, a person struggling with substance abuse needs a support system and people who care about them. Be that help. Let them know they are not alone and that these horrible things are not what they should turn to. Be the good in their most trying times in life. Help them destroy what is destroying them.
