Can an appendix burst due to a punch to the abdomen? Harry Houdini was a beloved illusionist and stunt performer that came to America in 1878. He had done many spectacular performance and shows throughout the world. Through these performances he gained respect from many people, but one thing that was left a mystery was Houdini’s death. For a healthy man to die in his fifties at that time period is highly questionable.

Harry houdini became famous because harry houdini did dangerous magic tricks and he stayed famous because harry houdini did a lots of magic trick and all the magic trick that harry houdini did was mostly dangerous because some time harry houdini might die because he did too much crazy magic tricks and dangerous magic tricks. I think that Houdini became such a popular entertainer because he did many things that people deemed impossible. Also, I think that he would not have become as famous if he had been a singer or something else.

He demonstrated that a capacity to grasp the essence of America's attitude about work, family, social life success in historical circumstances. He was the most influential during the Great Depression to World War 2 and Cold War and other aspects of American history (Rosa Sanmartin). The reason he was so impactful during this time was everyone was going through difficult times and he was able to make people feel better through his films.

Harry Houdini was a magician that was born on March 21, 1874. In 1894, he officially launched his career as a magician, later earning the attention of Martin Beck, who was an entertainment manager. His manager got him his first show, where the local police had to help him out. In this show, he asked the police to strip search him, and then lock him in the jail. Harry Houdini then proceeded to get himself out of the jail, shocking everyone who was watching. Harry Houdini’s shows went from anything from handcuffs and being locked in jails, to being locked in tanks full of water with chains around him. I think that Harry houdini became a famous entertainer because in the days that he made his shows people wanted to see the impossible become possible. He probably would not have achieved greatness and become a legend if ha became a singer and he did attempt to become an actor but the downside to that profession is his acting is wooden. The positive side to that profession is that he can apply his stag trick to it.

In this article we read about the Harry Houdini’s life. After we finished the article we had two questions to answer. The first question was “Do you think Houdini would of become famous if he wasn't a magician, I say that he wouldn’t have become so famous. The other question was “what do you prefer watching a magic act or an escape artist”, I would rather watch a escape artist. In the following paragraph I will go into detail and explain my thinking.

Houdini was an escape artist, which was the probably the most successful he could be. He did many amazing magic tricks, like swallowing 40 needles and pulling them out threaded. If Houdini wasn’t a magician, he would have not been able to perform all of these amazing tricks that would inspire youngins along with other people to do something amazing.

Houdini got famous because he did tricks that look impossible and scary to see a human being could do. Also he got more famous because he was in a movie. What Houdini did illusion to look imposible to the human being eye, it look impossible because this was in 1874 they didn't have technology so they thought this look impossible. And how Houdini stayed famous by doing stuff that his copy cat try to do. And he was doing this because people wanted to be him so he had to outsmart the other catfish/ copy cats. So what his trick was Milk can escape and it was to hold his breath under milk. And the people were confused because he was holding his breath for two minutes and 45 second almost making it at three. And with that he stayed on the headlines

Unfortunately, however, I was not able to find concrete, specific evidence which proved the reasoning to why Mr. Houdini, would not be confident enough to utter these words, other than it be society. As I have mentioned in my Gilgamesh post, often society criticizes those individuals who are not satisfied with their life, by exclaiming they are ungrateful as across the world, there are those who are suffering through more hardships, and yet are living any moment joyfully. Furthermore, I feel that humanity additionally looks down upon these people who are slightly pessimistic, rather than truly providing help and strengthening their bond with life. Therefore, with my perspective, I comprehend that Houdini cannot express his true feelings of life, and its mysteries, as he would be mocked, especially considering what a significant role he may play in society, as being a famous magician, heightening the level of status he feels the burden to
