Hello! My name is Hannah Swarr. I am part of a big family that includes six brothers and one sister. My youngest brother, Andrew, has Down Syndrome and is my biggest inspiration. I work at DoubleTree Hotel as a lifeguard and a recreation helper. My favorite place I have ever been to is South Korea. Natalie Salters is a thirteen year old girl who goes to Ronkonkoma Middle School. There are four people in here family. She has a sister named Stephanie who is nine years old. She also has a dog named Sam who is five years old. Her favorite thing to do is draw. She likes to draw because it calms her down and it is fun. Her favorite sports team is the New York Yankees. Her favorite sport is soccer and she also plays basketball and track. Her favorite athlete is Magic Johnson. Her favorite number is 32 because of Magic Johnson. Her favorite school subject is E.L.A because she likes to read and write. She doesn’t like math because it is hard. Her favorite place to eat is the Cheesecake Factory because it is the best. Natalie likes Michael Jackson.
I’m Kallie Sweere one of the 8th grade students from Detroit Lakes Middle School. On December 21st DLMS 8th graders got together with other social classes. We got in groups of three, my group was Abby Brininger, Porsha Hermanson and myself. Thanks to the Detroit Lakes Rotary Clubs we gave $25 to people in need. How this works is we loan $25 to someone who needs it and they will pay us back.
Hannah Senesh was a Hungarian Jew who was executed for the help of saving Jews. She was born on July seventeenth, 1921. Hannah started school shortly after her father died at the age of 6. By the time she graduated out of elementary school, she enrolled into a private school for all girls. In school, Hannah went through a lot of outright discrimination according to two girls who objected her holding office because she was Jewish. Senesh started writing poems, dreams, and her feelings about her father’s death in a diary.
Hannah Senesh was born in Budapest, Hungary, on July 17, 1921. She had a younger brother and her parents were an author and a journalist. She was always very talented in writing. Throughout her life, she kept a diary and wrote many poems. She was Jewish, and in 1939, she moved to Israel with her brother because of anti-semitism in Hungary. In Israel, she attended an agricultural school, and later settled at the Kibbutz Sdot Yam. Hannah Senesh was brave, and stood her ground for what she thought was right. She did what she knew what good for other people, even if it hurt her.
Jennifer Lynn Harriman was born in council bluffs Iowa. She was born November 13, 2002. She has three parents Trish her mom, Cindy her stepmom and David her Dad. She has two sibling and one older sibling is her sister named Alicia she is 15. Jennifer brother is the younger sibling he is 9 and his name is Jonathan.
It is with great regret and much sorrow that we inform you that on September 1st, 2017 Hannah Hatch passed away. She is survived by her mom, dad, two brothers and one sister as well as four grandparents. Hannah was born on April 2, 2003 in Blackfoot, Idaho at the Bingham Memorial Hospital. She was the oldest in her family. She grew up on a farm on Rich Lane and enjoyed riding horses and playing with baby animals.
Danielle Williams was born and raised in the city of Omaha, Nebraska. She is the only daughter of Jill and Phil Williams. Growing up Danielle was always a very shy, quiet, kind hearted, nurturing, creative, and imaginative young girl. Being brought up in a modest christian home, Danielle had a set of very strict set of rules she had to follow. Which made having any sort of social life difficult. She was not allowed to participate in any of the normal activities most kids her age were taking part in. There was no attending parties, no going out at night, no dating boys, no wearing makeup, no revealing clothing, no watching R rated movies, and no cellphones. Imagine your 9-year-old daughter just riding her bike in the streets with her little brother. She is as happy as she can be. Then in a split second a pickup truck drives by and swoops her up. You have no idea what to do except call the police. Once you did there wasn't much they can do about a child abduction. Well, this all changed in 1996 when a little girl named Amber Hagerman was abducted and murdered.
Laura S. Haviland risked her own life trying to make a difference for the lives of others. She was not very concerned about what would happen to her, she just wanted to make sure others were getting what she thought they deserved. She was an abolitionist and a writer. Throughout her life she was devoted to helping people in many different ways, spending much of her life doing different activities that involved helping people, most importantly slaves and their families. These were things she never had to do, but chose to do. She took it upon herself to spend her life doing this. One of the biggest things she devoted her life to was the underground railroad. She also helped to make big improvements for African Americans. This almost cost her, her life, but she kept going and helping. Without Laura Haviland's demanding work and dedication Michigan would not have made such drastic improvements as they did during this time. A serial killer is a person defined as a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events. “They are generally cunning, manipulative, and know the difference between right and wrong but dismiss it as applying to them” (Montaldo, n.d.) We are often captivated by what they have done and not in a positive way but the intriguing part as to “why”.
