Today there are all sorts of products that one could find anywhere they go out. There are electronics, clothing, books, paper, cars, etc. All these products are eventually made with different materials, while others are made out of the same objects. Yes, all products are produced by different manufacturers, and in a different country. In case you did not know most of the products that you find these days come from and where invented in China. China has a great shelf of many different inventions they have done since the ancient times, and on the present days. China is known for their most famous inventions such as fireworks, gun powder, the compass, papermaking, and printing. The Chinese also have some great inventions in the electronics category. There inventions have been increasing really rapidly, that we are falling behind and do not really know any of their recent inventions.
Well, first of all China is currently and has always been located in the continent of Asia, towards the East Side. It is surrounded by approximately fourteen countries, and by the Pacific Ocean. According to The Invention of Gunpowder, “Ancient alchemists in China spent centuries trying to discover an elixir of life that would render the user immortal.” They were actually trying to create some type of medicine that will make one live longer. When the alchemist was trying to create this elixir of life, he did a mixture of chemicals. He had mix approximately 75% saltpeter, 15% charcoal, and 10% sulfur, which led to a flash explosion and a big boom (Invention of Gunpowder). Since this created an explosion, and not what they actually wanted to create, it led to the invention of gunpowder. This also led to the invention of fireworks, since it was an explosion with
During the Song Dynasty China was the most successful because it made life easier for China.
Andrade really help put these inventions into perspective with a chronological timeline he provided in his book. The book “The Gunpowder Age: China, Military Innovation, and the Rise of the West in World History” has four parts that presented the development of gunpowder and weapons. In part one of
Gunpowder was invented by the Chinese people around 700 A.D. Its invention would start a revolutionary change for military weapons around the world and would become the starting point for today’s weapons. The Chinese did not know it at the time, but they had just made a big step forward for the world in military technology. They first used gunpowder for fireworks rather than using it to become a powerful military force. If the Chinese had used gunpowder for making weapons instead of fireworks upon first discovering it in 700 A.D., they would have had a great advantage over most other civilizations and could easily have become a military superpower.
There were several important inventions during medieval chinese times but , there were three key inventions that advanced chinese culture.Did you know that china was one of the first cultures to use gunpowder so they can put it inside of guns ,fireworks and other stuff.China was an advanced culture because china recorded their historians on codices.
Based on document six, China is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean (to the west), the Himalayan Mountains (to the southwest), and the Gobi Desert (up north). These natural barriers helped stop foreigners from invading China, thus helping the civilization develop. Furthermore,
Gunpowder was used in the 11th century Song Dynasty by, Wujing Zongyao. This was a discovery led to the invention of fire work’s. Gunpowder consists of potassium nitrate, some common charcoal, and sulfur. The potassium nitrate became from a decaying animal manure, and later it becomes from mines in china.
China is located in East Asia. Ancient China is surrounded by Gobi Desert in the north, the Pacific Ocean in the east, the Himalayan Mountains in the southwest, and the Taklimakan desert in the west. This land has a wide variation of animals because of the different habitats provided for them. Most farming was done in the very fertile lands of the Yangtze valley. Present China is much bigger than Ancient China, which means that over time, the kings and different dynasties went gaining more and more land and wealth.
The World of Gunpowder and How It Revolutionized Weaponry and More Invented by an unknown Chinese alchemist, gunpowder has changed the world of weaponry and the the world of weapons as well. Gunpowder has changed the world in many ways. Invented in the fifth century, a Chinese alchemist was trying to find a potion to immortality, but it failed (Ross). Eventually they found out the powder can explode by igniting a flame to it. With gunpowder, fireworks were invented and people thought it could ward off evil spirits with their bright lights and loud noises (“THOF”).
China has had lots of inventions and contributions to the world and just about all of them are still used today. The compass was one of the inventions created by the Chinese to help build their buildings in the right direction. Also Chinese Medicine was introduced in the ancient times and it shed some light on acupuncture and massage therapy. Printing and the umbrella were also other inventions developed by the Chinese. There are several more inventions and contributions that the Ancient Chinese developed but the main four that I believe to be the most important are silk, paper, porcelain, and good old gun powder.
In a Chinese ritual, tubes made of bamboo filled with gunpowder were thrown into a fire for explosions. After this, gunpowder and tubes have been used for celebrations. As rockets became more advanced, these “fireworks” became more advanced, with more shapes and sizes.
Gunpowder was first invented in ancient China. The Chinese accidentally invented gunpowder while trying to make an elixir for immortality. Unknown by the Chinese at the time, this accident would make major history. The Chinese mixed charcoal, sulfur, and saltpeter to create gunpowder. After this accident, the Chinese used gunpowder to launch fireworks and other non-lethal objects. This accidental invention helped the Chinese because before the invention they just tried to outsmart the

Technology you use and see all around you were first invented in Medieval China, then later reinvented in the Modern World. Back in Medieval China, The ruling changed a lot. From aristocracy (ruling from wealthy families) to meritocracy (ruling from people that proved their worth for the government), they were all tested from the civil service examination. During this time, trading/commerce entered as a main business. It made increased the prosperity and wealth of people. With the many new items traded in and the wealth people had, possibilities for new inventions were made. China made a difference to the Medieval and Modern World with its inventions.
