Gravesend Man Indicted for Murder of 3-year-old to Death Acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez proclaimed that a Gravesend man has been charged on murder and other charges. This is after the New York City Medical Examiner revealed that the beating caused the death of his girlfriends 3-year-old-son Jaden Jorden. Earlier in December he was charged with assault. Acting District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said" Jaden Jordan was a young innocent child who was unable to defend himself from the vicious assault and there is no excuse for anyone to attack a child. The accused beat the young boy so badly that he later died. We are determined that justice will be done and that the accused is held responsible." Acting District Attorney Eric Gonzales
Schema Building, Scaffolding and Introduction to the Book: To develop background on the story I’d ask the following questions. If someone asked to you to do what you’re told without question would you do it? How far would you go to help someone to save someone else’s life? Do you believe in your ability to make your own destiny? People’s lives are determined by their actions and their determination. In the book The Grave Robber’s Apprentice, two friends embark on a journey to save their loved ones by using their wits and bravery.

Jarrell Milton was initially charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder, but the prosecutors said “that they did not believe Jarrell Milton was the shooter, and his charges were reduced.” The Judge ordered Jarrell to be held at the youth center in secure placement for as of now. The Judge also said “if he was found guilty he would not go to prison, but he would go to a facility known as Boys Town or a rehab center in Kearney and remain under the court’s jurisdiction until the age of 19.” As for the Jamar and Shuntayvious Primes-Willis they were both charged as adults with first-degree murder. Jamar’s attorney requested that his case be moved to juvenile court, but his request got denied mostly because of his age. Primes-Willis also made
On Saturday, May 07, 2016, Jordan Mitchell reported that his staff, Emmanuel Nwanh hit him in the head. I immediately took LOS of Jordan and asked his staff to write a statement and the staff that was present. I followed up with the staff and he started that he did not hit Jordan Mitchell. I contacted the AOC, nursing and mom, Barbara Weaver. Barbara Weaver requested to me inform of any finding after the investigation is completed. The written statements are Dave Haneman’s office
Why has this mystery endured so long? After all, many Johns and Jane Does turn up in city morgues all the time around the world. What is it about this unidentified body that its story lasted for almost 60 years? Maybe it is because the famous picture of the Somerton Man has “haunting eyes”, that captures so many people's attention. The code found in the book linked to the Somerton Man attracts the interest of many codebreakers, from the amateur to the revered. The tales of Cold War spy agencies enthuse the imagination of many. Whatever the reason, the mystery of the Somerton Man will more than likely endure for many decades to
The opposing view for this argument is that Christopher Barber should not be charged for his son’s death because it could have been not intentional. “Barber apologized, saying he had taken responsibility since the beginning and ‘It was never my intent to harm my son’” (Man convicted of involuntary manslaughter in son's death, 2017, para.
The Land of Open Graves was a dynamic piece that followed stories of the Mexican-American Border land through a series of anthology-like stories. What made chapters 1 -5 so impactful were the ways in which the stories were conveyed. The author began with a tale of people scouring the desert for undocumented, human remains. Then there was a fictitious journal that mimicked the reality of four migrant workers. Other entries included an explanation of death in the desert, the following of humor in migrant workers and life in the deported role. Although all of these different stories seem divergent, they have central theme that the author draws on throughout the first 100 pages – the unparalleled hostility and negligence perpetrated by the government. The author is adamant about the idea of “Prevention Through Deterrence” and the harsh reality about the border and the way the United States treat those who cross the border. I would like to explain my reaction to each of the chapters below.
The small campus is surrounded by huge mountains that seemed to be covered in snow trails that moved in organized squiggles. The mountains behind the campus contained natural ski terrains that was astonishing. Something you would only see in a winter sports magazine. Arriving on the campus is not much of a jaw dropper but entering the Killington Campus was. They had new furniture and a cozy fireplace that gave it a cabin-like atmosphere. You were greeted by everyone who you came in contact with and everyone had a warm smile. But one who stuck out the most was Jennifer Lewis.
What is justice? Justice is the quality of being just; righteousness, equitableness, or moral righteousness. Justice was indeed served, no man deserves to be belligerently attacked by a group of men, but on the other hand was the 22 year sentence excessive? Mychal Bell deserves time in prison for his action, but, 22 years is excessive. According to Washingtonpost.com “The white teenager who was beaten, Justin Barker, 17, was knocked out, but walked out of a hospital after two hours of treatment for a concussion and an eye that was swollen shut. He attended a ring ceremony later that night.” Mychal Bell does not deserve 22 years in prison for beating up Justin Baker. Justin Barker received minor injuries and was well enough to attend a ring
Kennewick Man has been an ongoing controversy among the archaeologists and Native American communities. Scientists believe that the studying of Kennewick Man is crucial to understanding the earliest of human history on the American continent, as he provides a rare opportunity to look at well preserved, mostly intact, ancient American remains. They feel that repatriation should not occur until they are able to study the skeleton enough to identify which cultural group he belongs to. Native American communities disagree, as they feel that scientists and the public disregard and disrespect the value of their religious beliefs. However, remains should not be repatriated to a Native group of it is unclear what group they belong to. Archaeologists
In the Land of Open Graves Jason de León personifies the US-Mexico border crossers who are often dehumanized and reduced to the “undocumented”, and simultaneously explores the interaction between sociopolitical power and hybrid collectif in producing the deterrence that serves the interests of the US government. He elucidates the true objective of the Prevention Through Deterrence Strategy which funneled the border crossers to hostile environments such as the Sonoran Desert of Arizona with the aim to enhance fatal consequences of illegal immigration and discourage people from violating the law. Most interestingly, the policy rests on the “personification of the dessert”, scapegoating nature for increased death rates and “masking the workings

Every guy wishes that they had a space that is completely their own. Sometimes, they want this space for automotive projects, a music studio, wood working projects, gaming, or any one of a thousand different hobbies. The problem starts when you actually try to find a good space to turn into your newly minted Man Cave. Not everyone has access to a garage, basement, attic, or spare room to keep all to yourself. A great answer to this problem could be to have your very own shed put in customized to the purpose that you have for it.
“Damn, Dreadlock Man, your shot’s straight broke.” Dreadlock Man thinks he is a god at basketball but in reality Dreadlock Man has the ugliest shot in basketball history. Not only does he have a terrible shot but he is terrible at defense too. So the point is he is not the best player around. Dreadlock Man cannot accept the fact that he just does not have the skill to play basketball. There are not too many people that will tell him that he does not have the skill to play. So he just goes around acting like he is the greatest player of all time. So, his buddies have planned to show him how “good” he really is. They have a plan that is going to make him realize that he cannot play basketball to save his life. They are planning on filming his shots and his defensive plays and putting them in a video next to somebody who is actually good at basketball. They are just trying to get the courage to stand up to the Dreadlock Man. They do not want to lose his friend over one of their best friends acting cocky. Even though he is the meanest and grumpiest guy around. They still have not decided whether to show him how he really plays or not. The main thing holding them back is they do not want him getting mad at them. Until they decide to do it they are just going to let him go around and do his thing. There was a basketball match in the park and some guy that he was playing said “you play like my momma”. They have never ever seen Dreadlock man so mad. He
On July 27, 1962, Xavier Sampson Mack was born. His childhood was normal. He went to school, hung out with his friends, and he played outdoor games. He lived in Manchester, England which was a decent town and he could have a lot of fun. But, on his 11th birthday something happened while he was sleeping. He had a horrible nightmare every night from then to now, he is now 15. The nightmare was of a man and three or four other men surrounding his Dad. The weird thing is that Xavier’s Dad died 7 years ago, so he does not know why he is just coming into his dreams now.
