Hi everyone, My name is Cam Swan and I am a representative of SGA for our class of 2019. Other than SGA, I am a member of multiple clubs including Night Owls, MTG, and Ultimate Frisbee and I also work as a Tour Guide on campus. I am looking forward to a productive year in both the SGA and our class council. Please feel free to message me or talk to me about any concerns or questions you may
I wanted to thank you for allowing me to come by yesterday to see your venue, as well as to discuss options for our event. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future and for the possibility of working with you.
I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming all of you into the National Honor Society, a group built off of high standards of achievement, not only in the area of academics but also in character and leadership. I congratulate each of you and your parents.
I have been a member of the St. Ambrose Student Government Association for the past two years, serving as Freshmen Class President and Sophomore Class President. My time on SGA has provided me with many opportunities to serve the entire student body, Freshmen through Seniors. In meetings, I have become confident voicing my perspectives and concerns with all members and the executive board. Being on the planning committee for several SGA activities, such as Bee the Difference Day, CommUNITY Day, Student
As students, our experiences, ideas and leadership have significantly shaped Heritage into the University it is today. As SGA president, I will enhance this foundation that those before us have worked so tirelessly to create as well as empower our student body to meaningfully contribute in building an even better student experience , promoting new ideas and developing leadership for those to
Good afternoon fellow classmates, beloved family members, wonderful staff of Palm Beach Lakes Community High School, and dedicated Palm Beach County School Board Members!
I am an active member of my school and community. At school I feel that i've gained the respect of my peers being elected as Student Council representative for the past four years. I have also been elected the treasurer of the choir, and secretary of the band. I am part of the Ross Middle School bucket drumming group and have been casted as part of the school theatre’s annual play. After school on Wednesdays I assist Ms. Rullman in helping students with homework and enhancing study methods. I am currently participating in science olympiad and have in the past. I am also an anchor on the popular Good Morning Ross Middle School weekly news show. In addition, I have been a part of National Junior Honor Society which takes part in service projects
From planning the first homecoming events for the class of 2019 to organizing the infamous Freshman Lock-Out, I have been a valuable asset to the success of many class events this year. From the moment I was elected as your class secretary, I was ecstatic that I would get to work with my fellow council members in order to provide my peers the best freshman year possible. By organizing our very first bake sale (and raising $202.72!!) to sorting through more than 250 student’s forms (so that everyone could attend Lock-Out), I have dedicated the majority of my free-time to ensure activities were prepared to the best of my ability. Several activities throughout the year such as our Winter Spirit Week, the winter spirit pack, and Freshman Lock-Out
That is exactly what I did. I am glad I fought because if I didn't fight I wouldn't be here today to tell you my story that has made me who I am today. Even though I had some difficulties learning in school I didn't get discouraged I tried my hardest and wouldn't give up and because I didn't give up I am currently nineteen years old and about to graduate from high school and have been on honor roll for four years in a row and was inducted into The National Honor Society my sophomore.
As a Catholic community we must seek to live the life that Christ has shown us, to serve rather than be served. Our daily lives must begin and end with the love for God. And with our strong faith community, we can achieve greatness in all that we do.
Feeling claustrophobic in an immense sea of blue and gold, I sat uncomfortably in one of the largest auditoriums I have experienced while watching my cousin’s high school graduation. A freshman at the time, I became mesmerized by the concept of secondary school, and was overjoyed to sit with my family and celebrate Margaret’s achievements. Scanning the graduates, something caught my eye; there were shimmering sashes around the necks of a select few students. An epiphany occurred in my mind and I was determined to be just like those seniors one day - I would be a member of National Honor Society and therefore be distinguished from my peers during my graduation ceremony. Unfortunately, the “School Point” section of my NHS application, where each club and sport activity counted for a point, was empty. As a child, I wasn’t allowed to be involved in any extracurriculars that weren’t agriculture based until obtaining my license and paying for my own expenses - gas bill, car insurance, et cetera.
I've been trying to follow up with Savanna for 2 weeks now and finally was able to speak to her yesterday. What she offered as a solution was very disappointing. She told me that she spoke to the eBoard members prior to Spring Break and this was quite alarming to me because I was treated so poorly at the last General Meeting. There is no statue of limitations in regards to this matter and being told by Savanna, "look, there are only 2 weeks in the semester" gives a great impression that this serious matter is just not serious enough from the perspective of Student Life.
I became a member of my school`s SGA during my freshman year in an effort to become more active in school life. The other members and I have done many activities to improve our school and encourage school spirit. We also did many fundraising activities for our school.
Thank you for taking the time to come to the ASA Meet and Greet this past weekend in Boston. I really appreciated your honest conversation about Lebanon, NH and your residency program. You were an excellent representative of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Having lived in New Hampshire, it was exciting for me to hear that your residents provide care for patients from as far as Maine Medical Center to Burlington, VT. You and Ankur put all of my questions to rest concerning the volume and complexity of the cases that your residents are exposed to.
Thank you so much for your post and kind words. I greatly appreciate it! I have always enjoyed reading your post and comments. Your knowledge and discussions on our various studies has always been educational and useful to me and our fellow classmates. I have always said that the discussions and sharing of information on our DQ’s has been one of my favorite parts of my GCU journey.
My last involvement with SGA was when I was a senator. As a senator, I held various town halls that had a high number of participants from students and teachers. I engaged the students in various topics in those town halls, such as what we could do to make the school of business better? How we can implement what we learned in
