I think that the going green for gatesburg is a good idea and a great way to help make our environment a better place. because all of us need to do our part in keeping earth clean. there is so much polution in the ocean and on the freeways and even in parks. we need to come together as a whole to make earth a better place for ourselves and future generations.
If going green for gatesburg will reduce the amount of waste then we should all get on board. If the people who don't agree with this because of how it will cost more. Then our government should come up with an economicale plan to help those who can not afford it so we can all do our part in desposing and recycling.i mean if we can find a econmicale way to go green I'm pretty
The hole point of "Going Green for Gatesburg" is to reduce the amount of waste we add to the county, by the 90% over the next five years.
disposal, Gatesburg will not only protect the environment, but also take the first steps toward reducing
The benefits of a cleaner environment, more income for the city of Gatesburg, and healthier lifestyle for how we discard our garbage are all for a positive outcome. If the city of Gatesburg has any sense for it's future generations and environment they will come to agree with, "Going Green for Gatesburg." It is important that we conserve what we have so that we do not continue to destroy

We as a community are all able to contribute to alleviating this problem. We pay a big amount of taxes, and it is reasonable to say that we can have a say in how to spend some of them. The community would be a much better place if the government, as well as some more fortunate individuals, are able to spend money on efforts to preserve our pristine environment. Many charities and organizations of people we could trust would spend this money appropriately, and it would be great if more people supported these groups. It would also be helpful if the government leaders can legislate stricter regulations in terms of infrastructure’s pollution limits. The Loudoun County region is quickly urbanizing, and it would be very beneficial if we can continue to grow without any damage to our climate. In practicality, many things can make sure of this. For instance, the local council could enforce that all construction and industrial processes are done by the most modern and eco-friendly technology. Some might argue that this would drive industries away, but I think that the businesses that would leave are not appropriate for our community to house anyway. Our community could also do with more parks and reserves in the area. Driving around the city, I see that lush, dense woods that house a great number of organisms are being cleared out for more offices and buildings. This is somewhat inevitable, but I think there should
Mason city in Clearlake makes a lot of money off tourists. Not having our town be a tourist attraction kind of goes along with pollution because no one wants to go to place it is extremely smelly. Plus, there will be much lower population because of the pollution, Prestage will be be chasing people away. People come to Mason city to visit our beautiful Town and our friendly environment. People go to Clearlake for the same reasons, plus the beautiful lake and everything that goes along with it, seasonal restaurants and shops, all 4 seasons, etc. People can walk outside and smell the fresh air. I love walking outside hearing mowers running, seeing people smiling, the smell of fresh cut grass, and the newly planted flowers. The parade is one of my favorite times of the year, I live on the parade route, so I get to wake up and look out my window and see all the people biking, running, setting up, talking to one another, and smiling. Desmoinesregister.com says “Flory said Clear Lake tourism is a major economic engine, pumping $40 million to $50 million annually into the community. A pork processing plant might fit Mason City's needs, but it doesn't fit the kind of industry, Clear Lake wants to attract, he said” "We're in an area that is very environmentally" sensitive. All in all, it is easy to see that the Prestage plant
Such organizations that are already combating pollution now include: National Renewable Energy Lab, Public Utility Commission of Texas, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. We could further catalyze this effort by creating a social stigma where people want to recycle like those in various parts of the world. Presently, in Curitiba, Brazil, the federal government incentivizes their citizens by rewarding them with bus tokens for recycling; in a heavily populated area, this a perfect mutual communal and governmental relationship that deals with the conflict of pollution. We could format some solutions around that idea. Coincidentally, Texas is a prodigious state where it has an opulence amount of land for wind farms and a lengthy coast for wind and current turbines. This would ameliorate our source of energy and our pollution output while also provide numerous jobs to Texans and creating scenic images for tourists. Overall, the benefits would outweigh the ordeal of transitioning through this laborious
All the shirts and posters Bonnaroo sells are all made out of organic cotton as well as hemp, and no trees are used at all. Even the concession stand items, toilet paper in the porta potties, and administrative paper they use is made from recycled goods. They do this to not only promote going green, but it is also a reminder to everyone for what they stand for and that’s not just outstanding music. Some of the waste management things the festival has implemented are its composting program as well as having WastAway handle and “recycle 250 tons of garbage”. The festivals composting program has “diverted approximately ten percent of the event’s total waste since its inception” and the festival organizers “expect to divert of 60 percent of this waste from landfills.”. This is something so simple they do, but yet it still has a massive impact on the environment because it’s not going into a landfill. With WastAways, they will take all of the 250 tons and use it to construct things that will be built for Bonnaroo, like benches and materials they can put to use in other ways. With these recycled benches, they will be able to show the festival-goers were all the recycled material goes and how it benefits making Bonnaroo better. Bonnaroo has also decided to convert to “over 250,000 gallons of biodiesel fuel (B100) to replace diesel for the non-stage generators” and lower their carbon footprint once again. Doing this will not only lower emissions the festival puts out but also helps the festival start to make the transition to smarter and more environmentally friendly options. All of these simple programs they have do not just show they are willing to do what’s

Seed Capital Kentucky is a nonprofit organization behind West Louisville FoodPort. They proposed an idea that they would create a digester that would turn organic waste into methane oil. This idea was soon shut down because of complaints from the surrounding residents that there would be increased traffic and odor, and safety hazards that our city already has enough of. I agree 100% with the cut of the proposed idea of the “digester”, it has more bad outcomes than good.
“going green” initiative but not taking in to consideration all of the portions of this recycling facility that would need extra attention along with utilizing other resources and in turn causing more use of the financial portion of the business.
The GatesburgGoGreen Initative is a great idea in my personal opion. Not only will it save money, it will also save our planet that we are poluting. This is an idea that people should deffinately take the time to stop and think about before they just decide that it is a terrible idea, because there are alot of reasons that this proposal will help all of us in the long run.
Some of the cost savings small towns can obtain are energy and water. They can do this by changing all street and traffic lights to energy efficient bulbs. By getting the whole community to support the sustainability plan, the can achieve even more savings by having residents change all household bulbs to energy efficient bulbs. Residents can also change their appliance to energy efficient ones to keep the energy cost down for the entire town. Also, if the town gave rebates to residents who changed their faucets and toilets to energy efficient ones could lower the towns water cost.
You only have to look around and think to understand and realize the graveness and urgency, of why we need to “Go Green”. The computer you are using to view this document is guzzling up power and generating heat from its processor, thus adding to its carbon footprint, this is without mentioning the hazardous metals used while making it. The clothes that you are wearing might have been made in Bangladesh and then transported using expensive and scarce fuels across borders. The milk in the Tetra-pack in your fridge does a pretty good job of protecting the milk from bacterial infection, but then one wonders how will the
Welcome to Green liberty! We are located in present day Iceland. Our climate has a cold season and a warm season. It is very windy, which helps with energy. The weather is very diverse and is difference every day. We have a few mountains, but it is fairly flat, which is good for farming.
