All week at school all Dan thought about was his uncle coming up and going fishing. It was saturday a week after his older brother Dean shot a deer, and his uncle was up. Dan asked his uncle if he wanted to go fishing. His uncle said ‘’I thought you might say that so I brought up my poles.”Dan was so excited he peed his pants. After he changed they went outside to be surprised by his uncle's boat. Dan was so happy that they could go out on the lake. They get to the lake and they put the boat in the water and went out into the lake. His uncle brought his quantum© baitcaster and spinning reel. Dan grabbed his pole and casted out by a down tree. He told his uncle, “This is fun.’’ His uncle replied, ‘’It would be more fun if you put a lure
So here's how it all started I was on a boat going to go hunt for game. Until the captain pointed out ship trap island in the distance. I heard 3 gun shots and ran to the rail to see what happened I dropped my pipe and tried to catch it but instead i plunged into the water. I swam with all my might to get to shore because the the water was freezing cold so i swam towards the shots because it meant shelter in my head then i fell asleep.I woke up and went to find some food I saw the remains of a dead animal and a rifle cartridge and some foot prints.
There I was sitting up the night before duck season, it was half an hour until midnight and I had to be out of bed at 3 o’clock. I couldn’t sleep or even close my eyes in anticipation of the morning. Everything was setup right for a good morning in the duck woods, the wind was blowing out of the North which meant for a good group of migrating ducks, the temperature was 34 degrees, just warm enough to keep the water from freezing. I had my boat full of gas and my boat hooked up to my truck. If there was ever a recipe for a perfect duck hunt this was it. Opening day of Duck Season in Rainey Brake Wildlife Management Area was fixing to be extraordinary.
Dove season opened last Saturday, September 3rd. Opening day was amazing in my personal opinion. Several of my friends and I went to a field in Wren that one of their uncle6
Jim here, Uncle Jim some call me. My story from several deer hunting years back goes like this: I have a saying about shooting at deer. You sight your gun in and make sure it hits where it should. So I am usually late gettin’ this done. I have a Thompson Center 54 cal. muzzleloader. Usually shoots right on so I was not to worried about it being right on. So the evening before deer season opened took my target to a safe shooting spot set up sandbag and thought I would shoot about 2 times to make sure it was still on. I had ten 54 cal. bullets. I have always said you better make your first shot count so if it takes nine in the target so be it. Well I shot 9 shots all over the target and could not get it sighted in. Gave up went to put my gun in the truck and the front fell off. Found the problem of not a good group of shots. Too late to get any more loads so I called a friend and said I should meet him on the hill where I am going to hunt and borrow a bullet from him. That problem solved, back to my front sight. Well I put my sight on my gun centered it on the barrel and scotch taped it.
My number one and dominate passion is deer hunting with a bow. If I could turn this into a business venture of mine, I would enjoy every single day at work and not take any days off. I think it would be an amazing idea because first off, I love to hunt. Therefore I would be doing something I love every day through hunting season and prepare throughout the spring and summer months to be ready when the first day of the season rolls around. Second, I would be traveling, learning new things and meeting new people along the way, as well as teaching others the tricks and the trades that I have used along the way. The steps I would take to start this business would be very tough but it would be accomplish able with dedication and hard work. The first
Exposition: Bam! That's when the deer fell, well, a fake deer at the shooting range because I was just practicing. It was a cold fall afternoon and I made my dad drive me to the shooting range so I could learn how to shoot a bow and arrow.
Davie just retired from the military and is content with starting a new chapter of his life. He is a loyal man with nothing but good intentions. Davie grew up in Tampa Bay and knew MacDill Air Force Base was a fishing sanctuary. He and his childhood friends had plenty of memories of slaying the flats on base when they were kids. Davie had a friend named Derrick whose grandfather was in the Army. Derrick’s grandfather was able to get Derrick, Davie, and their good friend Martin on base because of his military ID. Davie made a promise to Derrick and Martin that once he retired from the military it would be just like it was when they were kids. Derrick and Martin held him to his word.
As a St. James middle school boy, I was all about hunting, even though I hadn’t ever been. My dad, being the awesome guy that he is, said he’d take me if I genuinely wanted to go. Little did I know, my dad had been studying up for this on YouTube because he knew the worst part comes after you shoot a deer and have to clean it. He watched video after video learning how to properly clean a deer before you take it to a shop for it to be processed. The only thing that I knew I wanted to do was shoot a deer!
When the line hit the water, almost instantly my bobber had disappeared under the water. This was it, I lowered my pole as I reeled up the slack in my line. I kept thinking "Just catch this one and you'll feel better about all this." With a sudden jerk and some quick reels on the old rod the line went slack. I had missed the fish. What could of been the only bite of the day, I had messed up. Feeling quite ill after the miss, I reeled up my line and baited my hook and casted it back into the water.
Ever since I was a kid I have enjoyed fishing. Fishing relaxes my mind and allows me to get away from the stress of the real world. From the cool breeze around the lake to the fishes nibbling away at the bait, it’s all just very relaxing. There was one day where I caught more fish than I had ever caught before. The entire day had been going my way. My boss called me and gave me the day off and that alone is a good way to start your day. After getting the day off I was able to get a few extra hours of sleep. Being able to sleep in allowed me to get the some rest that I had not been able to get for a few weeks. After getting my well-deserved rest I decided to go to the pet store to get some fish bait. Fishing was not my original plan for that day but since I was able to get the day off and I didn’t have any other plans I was able to plan to do one of my favorite things.
Beep, Beep, I reached over and hit my alarm clock until it shut off. It was only 6 o’clock in the morning and I was already getting up. I was going fishing with my Dad, Pepe and one of his friends, Harold. We were going to Milford lake which is about 45 minutes away. My dad told me that they never have any luck at all when they go fishing, and something bad always happens, and we were wishing that nothing would happen this time either.
One hot bright summer morning In the deep woods of Newhope, Ar down in swamps and rivers and the muggy bottoms. This was one time that I lied because I didn't want to get in trouble and my dad gets mad at me. I hate lying but it's not good to lie at all.
The most exhilarating thing that I have ever experienced was last winter when I shot my first deer. To some, this may seem like a simple task. Deer hunting takes a lot of time and patience. Although, it can get boring and aggravating, it can be a great experience if one takes these three steps. The first thing I did to shoot my first deer was find a good location to hunt at. Luckily, my boyfriend has land in Cheraw, South Carolina that I had access to. One must prepare for a good spot to hunt during the preseason. A person can hunt all they want, but if they are not in a good hunting spot, they will never shoot a big buck. One thing to keep in mind is that not every spot will have deer in it every hunt. One must be consistent and wait for the
Fishing is an activity I have enjoyed doing ever since I was a little kid. In fact, one of my first fishing voyages was with my grandpa when I was about eight years old. He was an avid fisherman who went fishing almost every day and knew everything there was to know about fishing. Grandpa got me hooked on fishing. After Grandpa died, my dad picked up where Grandpa left off. We had a pontoon, and Dad took my brothers and me fishing whenever we had the chance. To this day, I still love fishing just as much as I had on my first fishing trip with my grandpa. Many people enjoy hobbies that are relaxing and peaceful, and others prefer exhilarating activities that never have a dull moment. I enjoy fishing because it has some of both.
I would begin my day by hazily stumbling out of my tall, king- sized bed and make my way over my fortress of beaded pillows, sequin pillows, and furry pillows to peek out of my bedroom window and glance across my yard to see if the single front porch light was on yet.
