Health is the state of having a balanced life in several categories . Some of these categories are physical, emotional, social, mental, spiritual, and environmental health. When I am asked to evaluate my own health, I decide that it's not very healthy. First of all, I don't get enough sleep which in result makes me stressful and effects my health. Secondly, my diet is not always balanced as it should be. In other words, I don't get all the nutrients that I need and I eat fast food sometimes. Thirdly, I don't exercise a lot but I walk for about 30-40 minutes on school days. Lastly, school work make me stressed and often effects my social life.

After completing the self-health assessment with my health partner, it was obvious that nutrition was where he needed the most improvement. My health partner is a 20-year-old male, he is a construction worker and typically works 10-12 hour shifts 5 times a week. Most of the time his job sites are not local, he often stays out of town causing him to eat out at least 6-10 times a week if not more. Due to working long hours five days in a row many weeks it is not uncommon that he drinks at least 3 energy drinks a day. In other words, health is much more than being free from ailments and sickness, but it is a way of life. Over the years, this description has shape shifted in correlation to my surroundings.
