College Application Let me just say " who knew that ADHD and Dyslexia could make me a stronger and better person. " Nevertheless, these learning challenges have made me the strong confident person I am today. These learning obstacles have taught me patience, perseverance, and great time management. ADHD and Dyslexia has taught me to be a patient person. It has made me realize that with patience, I will be able to become a better learner, reader and writer. I sometimes get really frustrated while performing these tasks. I did, however overcome these struggles with the help that I found was suitable for me. For example, I bought a pen called the Echo Pen which records the classroom and records the notes I take, this is a great tool to have for people who have ADHD or Dyslexia …show more content…

It taught me to keep pushing and to work hard and never give up. For example, I would stay up at night and practice my essay writing and reading, that way I would not be behind academically. Additionally, I would work on my spelling and punctuation, whenever I had the time to do so. As a result, my skills got better and brought me up to par! ADHD and Dyslexia have made me great at time management. I try to get assignments handed in on time, and complete tests with the limit allotted. Not to mention, I would use a timer when doing assignments, this would help me in setting a goal for myself to get my assignments done as efficiently as possible. In conclusion, ADHD and dyslexia is not a curse, it’s a gift. Yes, it's not easy, but with practice and motivation, I think you would be able to achieve anything in life. Having these challenges has made me a more patient person, has taught me the art of perseverance, and has made me a great manager of time. I think I would be an asset to your school, as I am a hard worker and as you can see from the above, I am a person who does not give up when a challenge is put before
