The patterns of communication and coordination with the dog training group that I am in are both verbal and non-verbal. Verbal is being the communication between the trainers to the client then to the dog. I do have to say that the verbal communication does get mixed up sometimes. As for non-verbal communication this comes through body language and command training signals that are either being taught or they already know. The coordination of the different dog training classes varies greatly depending on which dogs know what skills, temperament, behaviors, and their owners. It also depends on how hyper and playful the dogs are that day. The patterns of influence would be by taking the dogs out of the training arena and into the main store
Watch your body language and always monitor what you are projecting around the dog so they can get influenced by it. If you let the dog run wild they will become the pack leader leading you around.
First, let me establish a road map of what I feel are key points to understanding dog communication.
Training your dog is the most important part of canine companionship. A happy dog is one who has structure and boundaries. Dogs are pack animals, and as such, they need guidance in the behavior that you expect from them. If you don't follow through in this leadership role, then the dog will naturally feel as if it is his place to do so. A dog that understands that you are the leader will naturally be easier to train.
Control training is important to keep your dog disciplined both on the agility course and off. Everybody knows that a dog must heel and sit. You must also teach your dog to know and obey different commands: to go left and right, lay down, and wait. After those are mastered, the dog must learn normal recall (returning anytime you call) and recall over obstacles. Also important is the “send away” command, making the dog go ahead you.Tips for Dog Agility
Patience is a very important quality to posses when it comes to dog training. It might take to a child months to learn the ABC's as well as for a dog to develop a new skill. It is important to remember that each dog is different, for some it might take one class and for some more. Some dogs will be driven by treats and some by a game. It is essential to find what makes them feel good, to help them recognize that they did right. It is important to commit to the process and to make sure that everyone of the family are engaged in the process, not to provide mixed signals to the

I’ve worked with Katherine from hands full dog training with Jade on two different occasions now. The first time session we discussed that her body handling issues, and resource guarding of food and toys, was really what we needed their help with Jade on. Jade didn’t seem to have any issues warming up to either Katherine or the other lady that came with her. Katherine noticed pretty quickly that Jade does in fact have some body handling issues, though it seemed that she tensed up more with the fast movement touches. She worked with her on this by giving her treats after every fast movement/touch, that way she learns to associates treats/awards when she allows the touch. Once she got done with that we moved on to the food portion. She didn’t
Around 12 to 16 weeks of age, puppies begin to teethe as baby teeth are replaced by adult teeth. As with babies, the teething process is painful and chewing on something is the one thing that helps to relieve the discomfort. Typically, puppies will continue to teethe until they are eight or nine months old, although some take as long as twelve months. Larger breeds generally get in their permanent teeth faster than smaller breed dogs. Chewing inappropriate items is ranked high on the list of undesirable behaviors by owners. Dogs can read human energy with facility. When the pack leader is calm and assertive, a dog will give calm, submissive behavior in return (Millan, “Calm”). This harmony creates a “balanced, centered, and happy dog” (Millan, “Calm”).
As a dog owner, I know how important it is to teach your pets how to behave. Yet, it is important to understand how learning works so that you can develop a strategy to properly and quickly teach your dog. The example of training a dog to roll over is a great model for analysing the aspects of learning involved with this process. Understanding how operant conditioning works and how to reinforce a desired response to that stimuli will help trainers effectively teach dogs. Psychologists, such as Myers (2013), define learning as the process of acquiring new knowledge and behaviors. In this case we are specifically discussing the acquisition of a certain response to a stimulus. The stimulus is the trainer’s command and the desired behavior is the dog to roll over onto his back. These ideas all are based on Edward L. Thorndike’s principle called the law of effect, wherein he stated that behaviors followed by a positive outcomes are more likely to increase in probability. These are all important components of the learning process, especially on the level of training a dog or instilling a simple behavior.
