I have wanted to perform a custom paint job on one of my rifles for a long time. I first learned of people painting guns while at a new gun shop. The owner of the shop had a binder full of pictures of guns that he had painted. Upon seeing this I wanted to learn how to create amazing styles of camouflage and other designs for my rifles as well. I went onto the internet and watched videos on how to properly paint a firearm. I learned that to create the best effects was to paint the gun using a gravity feed air brush. When I tried to procure an air brush to complete this project a problem occurred in the shipping. Somewhere along the route my air brush kit was misplaced and was unable to be found. PlastiDip is a very thin spray able rubber that can act like a paint but can be removed at any time without struggle. I chose to do it this way in case the spray paint didn’t work as planned, then I could remove the paint without a problem and no permanent consequences. The PlastiDip has a short drying time, making it easy to spray on multiple layers in a short period of time. After the second layer of the PlastiDip was fully sprayed on I let it cure over night to ensure that the PlastiDip had fully gripped to the rifles stock. I kept the gun at room temperature and let it sit for about twelve hours. I didn’t wait this long for fear of the paint not bonding correctly, this amount of time was due to work and school. When I arrived home from these priorities I began to make the stencils to create the designs on the rifle. I decided that I wanted to do a striped cut pattern on the gun using a red spray paint. Creating the stencils was the hardest part of the project. I thought that the easiest way to make the stencils would be to draw out the design on paper, and then transfer the design onto the masking tape. From there I was planning on cutting out the designs. This would let me create the proper pattern and the tape would seal against the gun to prevent leaking. The stencils did not work like I was hoping they would. To cut out the pattern I first started using a pocket knife. This just ripped the tape and ruined the pattern. I thought that this was due to

Everyone at some point in their life will own a car. Most either purchase or receive their first vehicle used which may mean the paint isn’t in pristine condition. Rather than spending $5000-$8000 on a professional paint job, which is probably more than you originally paid for the car, you can plastidip your car for $600. Plastdip is a peelable paint that sprays as a liquid but forms to a rubber material after drying. It can be applied by dipping, brushing, or spraying. Plastidip can be used to paint a car because it is durable, sprayable, and affordable.

Stanley Walsh began Inner-City Paint Corporation in a run-down warehouse, which he rented, on the fringe of Chicago 's" downtown"business area. The company is still 10cated at its original site. Inner-City is a small company that manufactures wall paint. It does not compete with giants such as Glidden and DuPont. There are small paint manufacturers in Chicago that supply the immediate area. The proliferation of paint manufacturers is due to the fact that the weight of the product (52 '12 pounds per 5-gallon container) makes the cost of shipping great distances prohibitive. Inner-City 's

He said that I should charge as much as I can. He didn't say, find out the going rate and match or beat it. He made no mention of using another painter's hourly rate.
From what I’ve gathered out of this article is simply the following: Customization isn’t something that can only be obtained by modernized sporting rifles(Bolt Guns and AR’s). With a few rather simplistic steps any Gunsmith can tailor an old shotgun(smoothbore and rifled) to fit a specific shooter in some pretty ingenious ways. First would be correcting the length of pull.
