Describe The Easiest Step In My Writing Process

Overall, I feel that both my quality of writing and writing process have improved over the course of the semester. This was important because in my first writing analysis statement at the beginning of the year, the two main things that I wanted to improve on were my quality and process. Throughout the semester, I learned to rely less on teacher comments and revisions and instead improve on my self-revision process, which was almost non-existent before I came to college.

In reviewing the essay, there are many errors I noticed. Overall, your writing lacks focus in regards to ideas, grammar, and spelling. I am no expert in any of these areas, but my ability to produce a coherent essay is demonstrated by the fact that I am nearly done with college. The goal of my essay is to guide you towards a better way of writing based on my prior experiences. A good essay in my experience is one that has three major components: structure, depth, and voice.

Over the past four months, I have made great strides as a writer. The area where I have seen the most growth is in my use of the writing process. Prior to my enrollment in this course, I would sit down and write all my papers in one sitting. This class has taught me how to lay out a plan for my papers. I have learned how to effectively brainstorm/research, draft, and revise my writings before I complete them. Also I have learned to not just stop there, instead I am now going back and reflecting on my work after I complete it. This allows me to identify where I prospered and also where my downfalls may have been. With this information, I am able to apply this to future writings of mine; lessons that will stay with me forever.

After writing these few essays, I understand that there are multiple ways I could have improved when in the process of writing. For example, I could have used more quotes to help solidify my writing and support some of my arguments more, I also could have brought in my experiences with history within school and maybe what I was taught about the Cold War, and lastly I think I could explain some of the major leaders better when using for my argument. Having prior knowledge about this topic would probably be the best way to prepare to revise these several essays that I have written.

My writing process is like a baby learning how to walk. During their first year, the baby is busy developing coordination and muscle strength in every part of their body. They will learn to sit, roll over, and crawl before moving on to pulling up and standing. From then on, it's a matter of gaining confidence and balance before they start walking. They will fall over and over again but likewise, they will try over and over again until they’re off and eventually running. High school for me was like a baby’s first year when it’s preparing to start walking and this quarter in EWRT 211 was when I gave the first baby steps. With more practice, I’ll be walking with ease in no time. I believe I will be successful in EWRT 1A.

Finding your own writing process is crucial for a writer in order to write a successful paper. Everyone is unique and everyone’s writing process is going to be unique as well. A writer’s notebook is a perfect way for people to record random thoughts, dialogue you hear, and any other ideas you might hear. Brainstorming is a key technique to get started when composing a paper. Brainstorming allows you to think of different topics that would fulfill the requirements needed on your topic assigned. Freewriting, clustering, listing and outlining, and collaborating are also some other techniques that when practiced could come very useful when writing a paper. Having the ability to use either of these five techniques would help tremendously when composing a paper.

Students are assigned a variety of writing tasks throughout college. Whether it is an assignment in an orientation class or a term paper, students will need to include information from scholarly peers to help prove their point and make a credible stance. Thankfully students can include data from scholarly articles as long as they give proper credit to the author(s) from whom they received the information. Among the many issues that a student could potentially face is overusing resources. By not including enough of their thought on a subject, the work could become a collage of other writer’s work that a student merely puts his name on. To help avoid such an issue, one must remember that no more than 15% percent of a paper should include quotes

High school was a time when writing assignments began to have more fascinating prompts, but also needed more structure. I drew ideas for my writing from several different sources including my friends and family’s opinions, things on social media, and my own beliefs. All of these diverse sources enhanced my writing and helped me to become more open minded. I always started a paper by organizing my thoughts and ideas by writing down three or four of the main points I wanted to include. From there, I wrote a rather brief outline only consisting of my thesis statement and the opening sentences for each of my body paragraphs. Before starting my first draft, I would look over my short outline, read the assignment once more, and then begin writing. I did not prepare nearly as much as I should have, but I was still able to produce a good first

I am writing this because it is probably the only time in all of my academic writing where I felt I could just be honest.

I am going to explain what I feel when it comes to writing and what pictures represent me when it comes to the writing process. I have very mixed feelings when it comes to writing because it mostly depends on the subject that I am writing on to determine how I feel on the writing process. I feel really excited when it comes to writing because I love to express myself when writing it just makes me feel good inside. I also sometimes feel really bad when writing because sometimes l just don’t want to write about some subjects. It depends how I feel about the subject because some subjects I feel very strong about subjects and others not so much. I hate some subjects because they bore me so much that it is hard for me to write about many subjects

My writing rituals are I prefer writing when I am not home. I write when work is slow or when I am on my lunch break. When I have no other choice, but to write at home I tend to watch a little TV, and get myself some something to munch on. That method clears my head from any stress I have from work, and it helps me have a little of me time. When I feel relax that is when I become committed to writing. When I experience writer’s block what I do is just take mini pauses when I am writing. I get out of my room, check my phone to text some of my friends, and check my social media to at least laugh at something, then get back to writing my essay. “Hey, you! Pay attention!” A common statement I tell myself anytime I try to write a paper. Procrastination is a large portion of my writing process. I believe my best work is produced when I’m in a time crunch. The stress of time running out just makes the thoughts flow like a river of words.

Writing is a process that requires brain work. In order to write you would need grammar skills. I feel like a huge part in writing is to be able to plan out and know how to categorize your ideas into different paragraphs. For some people writing is a way to escape for a while. For others writing is a traumatic thing they would never want to do unless they have no other option.

Making several drafts and outlines are very helpful to organize my paper. Before this course, I like to do free write. I just start writing, and add in information while editing. However, I start to create outlines for my writing. I found that creating an outline can help me organize my writing process and provides a full overview of my paper. For me, creating an outline after first draft is more helpful than start with an outline. Below is a picture of my AP outline. I created this outline after my first AP draft.

When I write an assignment, three things are constant; the technology I use (smartphone and laptop computer), the beverage I drink (hot chocolate ), and the location I do my writing (the living room in my house). I am using the final assignment for the course “Introduction to Business” to describe my writing process. In this paper I needed to discuss every aspect of a product, from the manufacturing to the purchase of the final product by the customer.
