Each year billions of animals are being tortured, blinded, scaled and used. Humans create these devastating events that occur. Animals experience pain and confusion throughout their life. There is great entertainment seeing animals in circuses and zoos but, there is a very dark side on how the animal performs. An elephant is beaten and trained until they are stripped from their spirit. Breeders are breeding large amount of animals, and shelters are becoming increasingly crowded. Animals are even sharing breathing space. The ignorance of our society is convincing that breeding animals are honorable. There was a grand impact on me due to the video, for it influenced me to acknowledge and see the cruelty that there is throughout the world due to racial oppression. I believe it is concerning that not everyone is aware of dangerous circumstances such as being assaulted due to your ethnicity, race, or religion. Racism is not seen as much in the valley as it is in other parts of the nation; therefore, it shocked me to realize what individuals would be willing to do to feel or be predominant of others. The law was never created for the purpose to serve with what is right, after all slavery was one the law. When law is enforced, there will always be people out there to enforce it. Those who have the power to wield “the law” also have the power to bend “the law”. This has often done more injustice than it has done justice, as they can hold themselves above the law in any situation they see fit. These people see it as justified takedown while everyone else who has no power to “bend the law” is upheld to every law sees it in different words, police brutality.

At this very moment, there are approximately 250 million cows being used in the dairy industry. 9 million of those cows are in America, and 16.5 percent of those will die from disease. That’s just one of the outcomes on a dairy farm. Animal cruelty is intentionally inflicting suffering or harm upon any non-human animal, whether it is legal or not. They provide companionship; they provide daily assistance to those that have deficits and are having difficulty functioning in their daily life; they provide security and help keep a watchful eye on things, plus so much more. And yet, with all that animals do for us, there are those that are treated with such little regard, care, and cruelty. They are unable to speak for themselves and therefore, they need a voice to speak for them.

About seventy nine percent of families around the world have an animal that they love and share their life with. Most families have either a dog or a cat. These pets are loyal, kind, and loving. We bring them into our homes and take care of them. There are some animals who aren’t fortunate enough to have a family to love and take care of them. These animals are abused and mistreated every day. The Humane Society Of The United States has made it their job to protect these animals and prevent this cruelty before it happens. They spend eighty percent of all of their donations on protecting these poor animals.
