The word “thinking”, defined by Merriam Webster, is the act of utilizing one’s intellect to produce their reflection upon the given topic. In my opinion, “thinking” is a deliberate response to the person’s question. Even though our logic has many variations, the outcome would have an abundance of answers. Knowing that our mind develops vast amount of interpretation, we have a different mindset with our response whether it is Natural or Critical Thinking. Natural Thinking is identified a mental process without having any reason or logic to what you are going to say. Moreover, Critical Thinking is being mindful with your words before saying it while trying not to belittle them due to your statement. Some characteristics of Critical Thinking is asking questions, considerations, and are open minded with their decisions. It is very crucial to use Critical Thinking in my everyday activities because it’s key to not jump straight to the answer, but to question myself if I’m making a wise decision. I tend to use Critical Thinking before purchasing any basketball shoes because I want a shoe that will be durable and I’m very meticulous about the material. By doing so, I have a basketball shoe that will last at least a year compared to buying a new shoe after wearing the other shoe ten times due to sole separation. It is appropriate to use Critical Thinking when I’m around my classmates because I wouldn’t want anyone to think that I’m a racist or a mean person due to my poor word choices. Critical Thinking has helped me gain a greater self-awareness with my word choice by not rubbing them the wrong way due to my poor execution with words and has helped me better communicate to those that are a stranger to my life and during the process making them a
