Prismacolor is a well known and well liked brand of media in the art world. It has a variety of media to choose from, however in this assignment we shall focus on colored pencils. One of Prismacolor's top competitors is Crayola, who you may think has a monopoly in the art market, preceded by Dewernt and Fabercastle. There is much that goes into choosing a colored pencil beyond the number of colors available from the line in question. For example and artist will look for a brand that produces quality pigmentation and value. If a colored pencil can create dark lines with little effort as well as faint lines it is a good choice. The Prismacolor pencils can do that with no problem so can the Crayola pencils to a degree, but there is a slight difference in value from the pigmentation agent in the pencil themselves. Both brands offer a variety of colors and shades of these colors. That is where the parity ends however. …show more content…
While Prismacolor has three types of pencils for different uses. The classic colored pencils have 60 colors, the soft core colored pencils used for blending and shading have 150 shades and colors, and the Verithin or detail pencils have 36 colors to choose from (Prismacolor). The pencils themselves are made of differing quality materials and therefore are different quality altogether. Crayola colored pencils just do not have the same blending capabilities or pigment quality as Prismacolor. They have a hard time blending at all to be honest and no shading ability without damaging the paper. Variety is the spice of life and Crayola is severely lacking

This first reason was that the colors appeared very similar, as most other pens appeared very dark with shades of blue on the TLC, while Vis-a-Vis and the unknown marker were lighter and had shades of yellow and light blue. In this instance, consumers would spend a greater amount of time researching the various competing brands before settling on a purchase. Products that fall into this category are computers, hand-phones, refrigerators etc. For me, this would be for skincare. If I had to switch from Brand A to Brand B,
The reason for conducting this experiment was to find out if colored pencils can be more dangerous than a regular, wooden pencil. The hypothesis states that if the lead in a colored pencils is exposed to flame then it will be more flammable than the lead in a regular wooden pencil. The independent variable was the brand of the colored pencil. The dependent variable was the flammability of the colored pencil’s lead. The flammability of the colored pencil will be measured by mass to see which one changed in mass the most. The colored pencil will be weighed to see how many grams it is. After lighting flame to the colored pencil, it will be weighed again to see how much the mass changed. The results of this experiment were very similar. In each
“All human beings have three lives: public, private, and secret.” Everyone deserves privacy and the right to control what information is subjected to the public. Since everyone is showing their true colors, whether they know it or not, the amount of information out there in the world should be enough to know the character of an individual. In today’s culture, there is a want to expose someone, and the person being exposed may have said those thoughts in confidence, thinking it was a safe environment. People of faith should not show themselves freely to the world because it takes away their right to privacy which can affect their everyday life. In the Scarlet Letter, Hester underwent serious public shame because everyone knew about her private life without her consent. Her punishment was to wear a scarlet colored “A”, for adultery, on her chest and stand on a scaffold in front of the whole community for public shame. They even tried to take her child away. In the book, it describes her punishments by saying, “Lastly, in the lieu of these shifting scenes, came back the rude market-place of the Puritan settlement, with all the townspeople assembled and levelling their stern regards at Hester Prynne, - yes, at herself, - who stood on the scaffold of the pillory, an infant on her arm, and the letter A in scarlet, fantastically embroidered with gold-thread, upon her

During my 24-hour recall, I realized some new things about my diet. I was able to analyze and inspect my diet to examine what I was eating, what types of nutrients I was getting. This diet that I recorded for this project very closely resembles what i eat on an everyday basis. I found some very interesting facts that pertained to my diet that were good and then some that needed work and to be altered. I consumed a little more than two cups that is recommended for the fruit group, two and a half cups of vegetables, a little more than three ounces of grains, as well as five ounces of protein. What I noticed was that I consumed the right amount, if not more, for most of the food groups; but I barely have any dairy in my diet. The only time I ate any dairy was when I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast and the cheese that was on my burger. According to choosemyplate.gov, I should be consuming three cups of dairy and I barely have one cup
This quote is about using all the crayons in the crayon box, the crayons being people and their voices, opinions, and ideas and the crayon box being the community that these people are in. The quote uses the words “whole box of crayons”; I interpret that to mean no one’s perspective or ideas are left out of the discussion. Everyone is valued and heard; no matter their differences: their skin color, their background, their gender or sexual orientation, they are as significant and as part of the conversation as everyone else. When using crayons, more often than not, you’ll come across a couple of crayons that you don’t like or don’t think will help you create something worthwhile. Tony Robbins once said “goals are like magnets, they’ll attract the thing that makes them true”. Goals are always needed, they help one grow in life. Having goals gives more encouragement to someone so they can complete it. Goals can always help someone out in different types of ways, it can be personal, academic, performance. As long as you make it a goal, it’s most likely to happen. Here are some of my own goals.
