The person you admire can be anyone. It doesn’t matter if they are alive or dead or you have never met them. You can still admire them. The person I admire is Colonel Sanders. Yes I said it, the guy from Kentucky Fried Chicken. In photos he always looks humble and strong. He had the signature white beard and mustache. Pared to together with a nice looking glasses and clothing. Colonel Sanders had some bad luck some of his life. He was broke and did not have a job sometimes. He worked but then got fired. So I call that bad luck! He was quite tall and used a cane. He was born in 1890 and died in 1980. He lived a mostly good, long life. The good thing about him is that he never gave up and always tried to get new jobs. Why would I admire a person with bad characteristics? Here are some of the Colonel’s characteristics. His first trait is generosity. After his dad died, he had to help care for his siblings. He dropped out in 7th grade to work as a farmhand. His second …show more content…
Everyone has hobbies. Hobbies are a good way to pass the time. One of his hobbies was making chicken. This is what we know him for, delicious Kentucky Fried Chicken. Without, this hobby KFC probably wouldn’t exist! Another hobby was being lawyer. Believe it or not, before he was the popular colonel, he was a lawyer. He studied law at Southern University. But he ended up in a fight which then he got fired. The third hobby was critiquing gravy. As a pastime, Colonel Sanders loved stopping by random KFCs and complaining about the gravy. After he sold KFC they changed the gravy. He called gravy “Slop” and some other things I don’t want to list here. You feel the world using your five senses, so I have some about The Colonel. The first his tasting the 11 Herbs and Spices in his fried chicken. Its delicious right? Second is how tall he is. He was 5’10”. That is huge! Third was hearing him in the commercials. He always sounded strong and

What I admire most What I admire most about my great grandpa is that he was a hero to save a bunch of people but yet he is still my grandpa. I also like how he is kind and respectful to everyone he meets because he knows that you need to treat others how you want to be treated because if you don’t others will be mean to you. Another way I admire him is that he is helpful and tries to help as best as he can.
Craig Sanders was not who you would call an honest man. He was born into poverty in the outskirts of Chicago and, at the age of six, saw his mother stabbed to death by his father. Soon after he found himself swaddled with attention by concerned strangers and neighbors. Churches started giving him more things than he had ever had in his life- New clothes, meals that weren’t PB&J sandwiches, and a TV with movies to watch.
One upon a time in a land far, far, away, a baby was found on a shack and was adopted, her name was Friedchickeniqua. Her adoptive mom, Amy, wanted her daughter to be unique so she named her after her favorite food, you guessed it, fried chicken. She was very small, chubby, and bald, Friedchickeniqua wasn’t like the other girls either, at the age of 4 she already knew the periodic table. By the time she was 9 her beloved parents have discovered that their baby girl was indeed a “whappot”, a whappot is a magical creature that is half leprechaun, and half witch. I wore a pot on my head. I'm John Chapman, but better known as Johnny Appleseed! I was born on September 26, 1774 in good ole' Leominster, Massachusetts. My father Is Nathaniel Chapman and Elizabeth Chapman was my mother. My mom died in childbirth with one of my brothers sadly. My father remaried after to Lucy Cooley. I had a total of 10 brothers and sisters growing up. I liked playing outside as a boy and I would climb trees. I grew to love the outdoors. I later on was an orchardist and nurseryman. I left my home as a young adult to travel the Midwestern part of America! I ventured into the wilderness without any shoes on, a satchel, and a pot on my head. I traveled widely planting apple trees. Apples actually saved my life in a hard winter.
American folktales are something many of us grew up hearing mom or dad read before bed. Johnny Appleseed is a legendary hero of many of these stories, and with good reason. Based on a man named John Chapman, an American pioneer, who wore a pan as a hat and traveled to spread apple trees and compassion to the early Westerners. His vision was to sate hunger issues with blossoming apple trees abounding. Wherever he went, love and peace were spread, and this is shown with his many friends; including Native Americans, settlers, and animals!
A non historical or unverifiable story handed down by tradition from earlier times and popularly are accepted as historical can be called a legend. History past down by the oral tradition telling of previous events. Legends are a way to explain the unexplained that can not see touched, smelled, or tasted. In some cultures such as the Navajo or Intuits, traditions and past history of thier culture are passed down by story telling.
For the past 200 years in the United States, there have been a myriad of legends, folktales, and stories concerning the american icon Johnny Appleseed; some of which extol his honorable kindhearted nature, love for the wilderness, and Christian beliefs, and others that unveil possible pedophiliac tendencies and love for hard cider. His unique story of spreading and planting apple seeds from state to state has been told and retold to appear either as a heroic act of environmental preservation and improvement or as a trait of a true entrepreneur. And though he is often described to have a disheveled physical demeanor, such appearance has been somehow skewed to support his connection to the untouched wilderness and his life of few to no excess
Over time, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been privileged to have had numerous teachers and professors who I respect for their patience and intelligence. There are artists that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to society, and their ability to change our futures. Of all the people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire most is my father.
