Dear Bursary Committee, I Roxanne write to you today to inform you of how I would benefit from a bursary, how I have dealt with life challenges/adversity, my extracurricular activities and/or employment and current and/or future sources of financial support/income. However, this is my first time applying for a bursary and I'm not quite too sure how to go about proceeding along with this essay , so I will just carry on then now that you know that. Great then.
Specifically I think I would greatly benefit from a bursary because I work my butt off in class and outside of class to ensure my homework and assignments are completed correctly, orderly and in a timely manner always. Since I have started taking Police Foundations at Trillium College

These ways range from confiding in close friends and family, taking up a hobby such as horse back riding, swimming, jogging or doing activities by myself to keep me busy and productive with activities such as painting/colouring, listening to music, baking or cooking. Maintaining a good relationship with my brothers, step Mom, father and grandmother are extremely important to me now being that most of young childhood and teenage life; I was bounced around from school and homes on numerous occasions until I reached the age of fourteen and was apprehended into a group home while I was in grade eight. Since then I have come a long way for the better and I truly believe everything happens for a reason, I have to.
Currently my employment status is that I am a Part Time Cook at McDonald’s in Walmart, I have been there now at that job since February of 2015, for the past few months I've only been getting one shift a week on Saturday nights which I cant complain about, my OSAP loan only allows for myself to earn a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollars a week. On the other hand, I am not exactly involved in any extracurricular activities at the moment but soon I will be doing some volunteer work, I need to do ninety three more hours I believe it is to graduate my
I'm doing great; I am very excited that it's the second half of the year. The exam period of the first semester went well. The 1960s in America was a decade filled with controversy and calls for change. During John F. Kennedy’s time as president, an era of protest and rebellion was underway. Race riots, anti-war protests, and an uptick in drug usage plagued the lifestyles of many Americans. Lyndon B. Johnson ascended to presidency as a result of Kennedy’s assassination, and unfortunately inherited these problems. Johnson was successful working with domestic social and economic issues, but the inability to deal with the Vietnam and the political scheme scheme as a whole stained his resume as an effective president.
I am writing this letter to thank you for your generous $700 Overstreet Scholarship. I am so appreciative and thankful for this opportunity and was so shocked that I was eligible for this. Receiving the scholarship was and still is such an amazing feeling inside for me and shows me I have more potential than I thought. I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship and have never been more grateful for the opportunity that you chose me and recognized me as an individual.
The Dredd Scott case involved a landmark decision in the history of the Supreme Court, in the history of the United States the decision in this case was one of the most damaging statements in the history of the Supreme Court, involving the citizenship of a black person in the United States, and the constitutionality of the Missouri Compromise in 1820. I am writing this letter to thank you from the bottom of my heart for granting me the Robert A. and Mary Neal Culver Scholarship. I have been working very hard throughout my college experience and receiving this scholarship is truly a blessing and a reminder of how my hard work has paid off. The extra money will help pay off my tuition for next year which will greatly help ease the stress about paying for my junior year, and my mother and I are truly thankful for having the extra help. I will continue to work hard and achieve all my goals on the next couple of years, and I will never give up on my dreams and aspirations. Thank you for being a part of my success, and just know that your help is truly valued.
I sincerely hope that this appeal shows that I am dedicated to being a successful student here at the college. Please do not use only my past as a barometer for my success in the future. There have been many steps done over the last year to ensure my success going forward and I firmly believe that I am truly deserving of the lifting of my financial aid
When I was a child, most of the stories or situations I have been through was, mostly, my dad hitting me and my parents fighting constantly; so pretty much I did not really grew up watching Barney, traveling to places, and going to Disneyland often. I thought I would have to live like this for the rest of my academic life, but one day around the age of eight, my dream came true. My parents had enough of each other, so they went their own ways; even though, I was glad that I do not have to life miserably anymore, I was not. I thought that everything would settle down and live a calm life with my mom, but as a result, I ended up raising my two siblings. My dad left the house, my mom was in her own world, and I had to watch my siblings. I thought my parents divorce would benefit me, but all it did was for me to not live as an eight-year-old would. I thought that my dream of going to a great university and becoming a Physician Assistant came crashing down. A couple weeks later, my dad came back and long-story short, my siblings and I had to go hang out with my dad for

I have been a lucky recipient of The O'Brate Scholarship for two years now. I am Incredibly appreciative of the difference The O'Brate Scholarship has made in my life. The generosity of The O'Brate Scholarship is one of the primary reason that I have been able to finance and continue my education and experience the transformative experience that has been my sophomore year at Kansas State. My second year of University has been nothing short of spectacular and formidable. This year I have really strove to push myself out of my comfort zone. This was in due part because of The O'Brate Foundation
I have a good relationship with my parents but they are unable to meet my financial demands. Attending GBC has given me the opportunity to receive an education that will benefit the lives around me. The Dorothy S. Gallagher Health Sciences Endowment Scholarship provides a chance for me to receive the credentials in health care I need to give back to the community. It is with great appreciation that I submit this application for your
Stillwater has an abundance of jobs available on and off the OSU campus for students. Ideally, I would like to work for OSU at the library or one of the on-campus restaurants because they would be more understanding of my school schedule and closer to my dorm. I would like to work somewhere between 15-20 hours a week. I have received an Academic Excellence Scholarship of $2,000 and the Presidents Leadership Council Scholarship of $1,500. My parents have a college fund that will pay for exactly half. My parents expect me to be financially responsible and pay for the other half of my education through scholarships and work.
I know that I am truly well prepared for the extensive and renowned program available at your university as a result of the excellent background and foundation I have established. Having maintained a balance of two jobs, school and a variety of extracurricular activities, I know that I am prepared to continue the same

When evaluating a student’s worthiness to receive financial aid from a university, it makes sense that personal accomplishments, experiences and life circumstances are taken into consideration. Being a first year student, I think it is important to differentiate myself from other students applying for aid. In the following personal statement I will attempt to convince you that I have maximized my freshman year and continue to excel in the next coming years.
