Dr. Roddenberry, Thank you for the opportunity to again participate in the care of Ms. Melissa Williams, who currently is inpatient with expectant management of her severe preeclampsia. She has had fairly controlled BP’s on her current regimen reported as hydralazine 10 mg t.i.d. and labetalol b.i.d. Her BP’s since the time of our last consultation have remained in the mildly elevated range, mostly in the 150’s to low 160’s over 80’s to 90’s. On review of her labs it appears that her liver function tests started to increase yesterday and on review of today’s labs her platelet count has decreased down to 130,000 and she has an elevation in her liver function test with an AST of 113 today and ALT of 135. With the liver function tests more than

The patient does report that she tripped over something on the floor, which resulted in her falling and hitting her back on a large table. There are basically five options in total because there are four other vendors that make X ray films. The competing companies DuPont, Agfa, Fugi, and 3M. DuPont and Agfa can produce quality that is roughly consistent with Kodak. On purely a cost basis, Mr. Rubble would most likely go with DuPont since is of roughly the same quality as Kodak while also costing less than Agfa who also produces a product of comparable quality. The price of DuPont $1.50 per sheet of X ray film and represents the lowest cost of premium quality suppliers.
2. Should Pacific’s supply policies allow for any medical staff personnel to control sourcing decisions?
EPs are regulated by the Heath and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to protect clients from malpractice and to ensure a standardised level of care and competence. Therefore, all certifications of higher study must be BPS (British Psychology Society) accredited.
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the care of Ms. Katie Greene, who as you know is a 21yo female, G3 P2002, currently at 30 weeks 1 day EGA with a pregnancy complicated by maternal history of chronic HTN for which she remains on labetalol 100 mg b.i.d. and her BP appears well-controlled on today’s visit and maternal obesity with a prepregnancy BMI of > 47.

Blue Cross Blue Shield does have a strong presence in the insurance community, whether that is in the Choices program, Medicare, or private policies. Government restrictions are a significant barrier to entry in multiple venues of healthcare. Brand loyalties and government restrictions are both barriers to entry in this situation.
Due to such a small town, I am unable to find many options of accepted health insurance, so I will have to use the Blue Cross Blue Shield that I used in the first assignment to compare for Sandra Winters (my patient). Sandra is not old enough to qualify for Medicare and she does not meet the qualifications to receive Medicaid, therefore she must find a company that her local hospital and family doctor accepts.
In order to psychologically analysis, The Tell-Tale Heart, readers must first connect the symptoms of the narrator to a disease. The narrator seems to have been going through a psychotic episode, which would be connected to him having brief Psychotic Disorder. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th ed. states that “ in order to be classified as someone who has Brief Psychotic Episodes they must have one, or more, of the following symptoms, delusions, hallucination, disorganized speech, mood swings, etc. The must also have these symptoms present for at least one whole day but not more than a month.” They go on to say that a stressor may be involved in but is not necessary to cause a psychotic episode. During the short
1.The step to implement short sighted process was poor strategic thinking from whom ever was leading BP during this crisis management. No only did the company risk decreasing their profitability, they increased their chance of lawsuits to occur, painting a picture that BP do not care about their employee's and risked the quality of their product. BP also risk the increased likelihood of violating OSHA. Overall the leaders at BP, and the governmental agencies that monitor this arena failed to strategically think/plan to ensure the operational methods implemented considers all involved parties within the organization including employees.
In the BPP's efforts to find allies during the late 1960's the groups stubbornness and inflexibility made it difficult to work with others. “They were so convinced of their ideological correctness that the BPP insisted on dominating the decision making process in any alliance” (Alkebulan 20) Eventually, in the year 1970 Huey P. Newton, whom was a co-founder of the BPP, proposed a new philosophy for the group. When Newton along with other party members were accused of being inconsistent he was not deterred as his goal was to distinguish himself from Eldridge Cleaver a party leader whom continuously called for armed struggle. Ideological disagreements such as this occurred frequently within the BPP although for the most part every member had
Of possible liabilities that BP Oil would face yearly, and in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon disaster, personal and advertising injury isn’t at the top of anyone’s list of worries. BP must tread lightly when determining how to best market the corporation and its assets. For over a decade BP kept public brand perception aimed at the professions that it fills, specifically their petroleum engineering careers. This was a safe angle in that job creation numbers aren’t disputed when you’re on of the largest companies in the world. This goes well to juxtapose BP’s employment of blue and white collar workers and being a company that can safely claim that they employ high-level college graduates and the “everyday” working man.
Marijuana has been controversial for many years and has become an increasing topic of debate and subject to vote by the public to legalize it for both medicinal and recreational use despite it still being illegal under federal law (“Module 4.5: Substance Use and Abuse”., n.d.). However, research has shown that there are benefits to marijuana usage as seen in those undergoing chemotherapy as it stimulates their appetites, but due to the federal restrictions it’s proved hard for scientists to conduct effective research (“Module 4.5: Substance Use and Abuse”., n.d.). Research into the benefits of marijuana would be a great boon to the field of psychology as it would allow us to better understand the drug’s effect on the mind as well as the body,
American literature does not only include characters, plots, settings, and themes, but also historical and personal events that shape the writer’s literature. One era that is known for outside events influencing the writing of the time is the post-modern era. The start of the post-modern era took place in the year 1945. This era took rise after two major historical events in America’s history, the Holocaust and the dropping of the atomic bombs on two Japanese cities. Once World War II was over, Americans wanted to return to normal life. However, with the desire to return to normal, Americans in the 1950’s had a hard time determining what they would consider normal. One early post-modern author, Carson McCullers, focused her writing on the feeling of isolation and loneliness that American citizens were facing at the time. Carson McCullers’s novels and short stories contain themes of isolation, death, hope, and dark humor, which are all symbolic of the hardships humans faced in the post-modern time period and her own personal trials.
