Starting a freelance writing career allowed me to follow my dream of being self-employed. Now I make more money than I did at my day job, and have control over my own schedule.

3. Have an important and promising introduction. Ever wondered how quickly people make judgments about blog posts? Most people probably decide within the first few sentences if the post is worth reading. Tell users why they should care and what you’ll be discussing in the blog post. Make them want to read it.

Angelo is a 65-year-old male who has left-sided hemiparesis because of a right cerebrovascular accident that occurred 7 years ago. Though he has left upper extremity weakness, it does not affect his right upper extremity, which is his dominant side. Angelo uses a cane to ambulate between locations, yet he needs to use a rail in order to climb up stairs, and he uses an ankle-foot-orthosis to support his left foot. Although Angelo has no visual and/or perceptual deficits, Angelo struggles to flex his shoulder, extend his elbow, and both flex and extend his fingers. Angelo experiences diminished sensation on his left upper extremity, but it depends on the time of day. When Angelo sits down on a chair next to the table, he places his left upper extremity on the top of the table to support it, using his right upper extremity. In addition, Angelo is able to articulate
In the competitive world today, having a college degree might not benefit a student as much as before, thus opening up numerous questions concerning its necessity. Not only is the number of students desperately trying to enroll in college increasing, but the tuition shoots up as well. However, will college enrollment necessarily be enough to increase your chances of attaining job security? The answer is hotly debated amongst adults and students alike, which opens up the second option for students, that is, joining the work force. Although this option is generally shunned by the new generation, the tough economy and slow restoration makes it quite a desirable choice at the moment. Joining the work force is a hard decision to make as it
The future; after high school, after college, the future is a later time period that will happen in one’s life. For my future I plan to attend college and later become an engineer. College is one of the best choices available for high school graduates to ensure a successful future. Colleges offer specialized learning that when attended can open many opportunities. Two colleges I may attend after high school are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) or California Institute of Technology (Caltech). After college I plan to choose a career in the field of engineering. Two career possibilities are Aerospace Engineering or Biomedical Engineering. By researching these two universities and two possible careers, I have learned about the many possibilities that lie ahead for my future.
I have been an enthusiastic learner throughout my education, especially having been encouraged to explore more than what is needed to pass while home schooled as a child. Thus, as I head into college, I see a plethora of educational opportunities in my future. I my aim is to take classes to broaden and deepen my education as much as possible, especially since I will now be paying for my own education. My ultimate goal is to master in Library Sciences to become the best librarian as possible alongside being an author. I love to write, but I also know that any good writer must start from the bottom and face rejection before being successful, so being a librarian alongside that to earn money while working with the books I love so much will be
Coming from a family that owns a small business, I decided to pursue a degree in business administration with concentration in management and marketing. By the time I graduated from college, I realized how important it is to implement information technology into a small business like ours. Our competitors have created online shopping websites which result in increasing sales and expanding territories. It would be cost insufficient for us to hire a professional firm to build our website and maintain it. I start thinking why not doing it myself and that is why I am here in DePaul College of Computing and Digital Media.
This career entails diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes in both adults and children. The disorders have a broad range of services from infection, acne, skin cancer, cosmetic issues (ex. scars.), wrinkle removal, Botox, hair loss, and tattoo removal. If I run my own Dermatology practice myself, then I will have to make sure bills are paid, employees are cooperating, and every patient is getting top notch care. My work environment will depend on if I have my own practice or if I will have my practice inside a hospital. If I have my practice inside of a hospital, it would be easier sending blood work, sending skin biopsies off for testing. If I had my own practice outside of a hospital,
Researching careers and what I want to do with my life was something I did a lot last year, I considered multiple professions, I was initially looking to be a pilot but after learning about the high cancer rates and over saturation, I decided It wouldn't be a good profession. Now I want to be a pharmacist, they have high demand, typically good pay in the U.S (The lowest being around 85K Annually and the highest being around 150K) and good benefits. Pharmacists typically do things like: Oversee Pharmaceutical Technicians Teach Interns Fill prescriptions Administer Vaccines I plan to get my Bachelors degree and other prerequisites in Sweden(I am a Swedish Citizen) and then come back to America to get my Pharm. D(Doctorate in Pharmacy).
For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me. Since I love sports I figured that this would be the career for me. A degree in Sport Management helps to prepare for success in sport related occupations.

The career anchor that best fits my orientation towards work would be the Service/Dedication anchor because the anchor is about helping and improving other’s lives. Currently, my job require me to provide technical support to a school and I enjoying providing that support because it tends to put the client into a good mood with a smile. The anchor that least describes me would be the Autonomy/Independence anchor since I like having rules, restrictions, and being told what to do. Using the information about anchors can and will improve my self-exploration process because it will provide more data for me to analyze about myself and my career
My process for choosing the top two resumes featured a series of steps to eliminate people in groups until I had a shorter list to choose from. First, I eliminated any resumes that were turned in late. Deadlines are extremely important when turning in a resume to an employer and I did not believe it was fair to look at a resume that were turned in late when others had been turned in on time. Next, I went through the resumes based on their educational information. I looked at where the candidate placed their information, if they listed their GPA, and if they were part of the Honors College as well as if they were involved on campus in any way outside their coursework. To me, GPA and school involvement were good indicators of how well
This comp class has challenged me to change the way I write. Moreover, I have been forced to look at my sources in a whole new way in order to meet the requirements each assignment. Discovering the best ways to brainstorm and organizing my essays has help me skip those painful first moments that ultimately happen when starting a project. Therefore, there were many struggles that I went through this semester. From learning to synthesize, to writing to an audience, to finding my voice, this class has helped me grow in many ways.
My whole life I have always wanted to do something where people will remember me. I went threw millions of career choices before I came to the conclusion of a nurse. It’s not something that will get me into History books, but its something where all the people I help will remember what I did to care for them or their loved ones. My mom went to school to become and RN, but dropped out when she became pregnant with me. After that story was told to me, I didn’t want to be anything related to nursing. It wasn’t until my step mom went to school to be LPN that I realized it would be possible for me to do. I saw how much happiness it gave her, and I want the same thing. She loved helping the patients by treating them, and helping their families
It is vital when looking for a new job or career that you know what skills and qualities you have. Knowing what you can or cannot do will alter what employers and positions there are for you. Throughout my higher education at Full Sail University, I have been able to overcome weaknesses that I have and raised other strengths beyond what I thought I could. Matching what you are good at and not so good at can help shape what your life path will be. Looking deeper into my personal capabilities, I have discovered three strengths and three weaknesses that I have and I’m working on eliminating or improving. If you are not good at something, improving even slightly can have a nice positive impact on your overall quality of
Choosing a right career path can be tough. Especially, when the parents are involved. Parents want their children to have a better life in the future so they want their children to be educated. When they are successfully graduate from the college they can get a high paying job and earn much more than their parents. However, does everyone listen and follow their parents’ decisions about the career? What happen if kids didn’t want what their parents told them to do? Is there a compromise and or one side needs to give in? It was a tough decision for me too. There was a lot of pressure on me. I was hesitated and somehow worried when my parents were involved, but I knew what I want for my career.
