Whether it comes to drawing a picture, or playing an instrument, art and music have always been an influence in my life. While growing up, painting and drawing seemed so fascinating. Eventually, in fourth grade my interest in music also flourished, so I began to play an instrument. In fact, my peers and family constantly express how talented I am in these areas. Undoubtedly, art and music are my favorite interests because of my background in them. First of all, because my mother was an artist herself, I have always been inspired to draw like her. Some may say art runs through genetics, and I completely agree. However, as I aged, my art improved. For that reason, I won an agenda designing contest in eighth grade. In addition to that, I became nominated by my Elementary school Art Teacher for UD for Kids. …show more content…
During the fourth grade, I was introduced to many different instruments. As result, I became determined to play the violin. For three years I participated in the school orchestra, but at the end of sixth grade I switched to private lessons. From that point on, I played through my freshman year of high school. In addition to private lessons, I auditioned and played for the Youth Symphony (Philharmonia). I am very proud of my accomplishments on the violin, and for how long I stayed with it. Although, learning new material was difficult, I was able to grow from the challenge. Even though I currently am not practicing, the violin was part of my life for six years, and will always remain in my heart. In conclusion, my interests in art and music are because of my background in them. Through the course of my life, I have been blessed with many great art and music related opportunities. As a person, I believe I have grown because of them. For example, participating in an orchestra taught me many social skills. Plus, UD for Kids was also very social, and educational. Altogether, the arts have shaped me into the person I am
I am a student who is devoted in academics and my family. In addition, my other passion is singing and playing instruments. Singing has been a big part in my life growing up. It taught me how to comprehend music and it helped me develop the English language. Music uses words that are poetic that can communicate with the listener in a deeper level. Obtaining music in my life has grew my language skills and
My love for music is rooted in the solid musical foundation my parents set for me. From taking me to my first concert when I was two, to teaching me how to play guitar at the age of four, music imprinted itself on me early in life. I started playing the flute in 5th grade, and since then, my life has never been the same. Continuing to play the flute throughout high school has allowed me to be heavily involved with the music program. I have been an active participant of Concert Band, Jazz Band, Honor Band, Pep Band, and Marching Band.
Music has always been an important element in my life. As I look back, I have always loved singing and playing instruments. During my high school years, I participated in marching band, concert band, and show choir. When I was in elementary school I learned how to play the piano and in 6th grade I joined the school band to learn to play the flute. I continued playing the flute in middle school and into high school. In 4th grade I joined the school choir and continued that through high school as well. In high school, I spent a lot more time in show choir than I did in band due to scheduling and personal interest.
In fourth grade I started playing Alto saxophone for my grade school band. Three years later I learned Baritone saxophone for my middle school band. In another year I joined a choir. By the end of high school I had been in six different bands, learned to play several instruments, joined two different choirs, taken multiple music theory class, and starred in more than a dozen musicals. My love for the arts started early in my life, my mother is an artist and my father is a musician and a head designer for a stationary company. The arts were alive in my household, jazz was usually played during dinners, my mom would paint a few times a week, and my dad seemed to always spend at least an hour a night fine tuning his classical guitar skills.
Similarly, my other major interest is drawing. I mainly enjoy drawing Fictional characters from movies or TV shows such as The Book of Life and Ed Eddy and Eddie because they take time to draw. Other times, I draw houses with some type of detail because it allows me to envision the endless possibilities art can be portrayed. Being able to express myself in the characters I draw is something incredible. Drawing is another form of being creative and unique because it resembles effort. Most importantly, drawing is about being passionate and being able to demonstrate emotion. I don’t consider myself an artistic expert, yet I draw because it motivates me to reach my goal which is to become an Architect. I find Architecture interesting because it looks challenging and competitive. After all, life is about challenges and being able to overcome them. In addition, my other interest is Chess. I have been playing Chess since I was a child, but I did not take it seriously. Chess is a thinking game that requires patience and skill. I play Chess on the phone mostly, while other times I play with friends in school. Sometimes, I see Chess matches on my phone from players all
Along with My favorite type of Music, Art is an exciting way to expess ones self. I seem to favor more to Art that has a lot of emotion peeping through. Fine Art involves sculpturing, drawing, painting and print making. When participating

I have been practicing the violin since the summer before my senior year of high school. Although I initially played the trumpet in band, I wanted to learn the violin as I felt that the timbre of the instrument better matched what I wanted to play and my personality.
I was born into the arts. I cannot remember a time when music, poetry, creative writing, painting and visual arts weren't a part of my life. My mother was performing in a show when she was six months pregnant with me. The effect of music can be quite profound, with scientists proving that music can evoke emotions, and bring back memories.
The main element I love about fine arts is the way it allows me to express myself. Band and choir have let me express myself in a way that is understanding to everyone, music. I have learned to play the trumpet, French horn, and piano. I pride myself in my ability to read music and see
