Hybrid Cars Conventional cars have been around for decades but now that time has passed by they are working to get rid of them and replacing them for something that is better for the environment like a hybrid car. The EPA wants a cleaner environment due to the fact that conventional cars harming the environment. Conventional cars have been polluting the environment but car manufactures have been working on making these cars to cause less pollution to the environment. Car manufactures have also been making hybrid cars that run on electric motors and gas to pollute the environment less, but the hybrid car still pollutes the environment and still harming like a conventional car would, so it would not make a difference to the environment. This has been an issue for the past couple of years as the car technology advances the car manufactures make the cars more and more environmentally friendly to the point where they started making …show more content…
The issue with hybrid cars is that they are becoming more popular they have been getting the public’s attention due to all the advertising that has been made for them ever since they have been out on the streets and it has been convincing people that it is better for the environment. Overtime this has been viewed as good thing for the environment because the environment will not be …show more content…
People are getting convinced that the hybrid cars are not polluting the environment. The EPA is opposing the conventional cars because they are causing too much pollution but is supporting the hybrid car is not supposed to be polluting the environment but is still harming the environment. People today are getting convinced that the car is going to make a heathier environment but others are realizing that the hybrid car is not doing any difference because the hybrid car is polluting just like the regular gas
Gasoline powered vehicles are better! No, hybrids are better! Have you heard these two points-of-view? This last election, the question of energy was a part of both party’s platforms. They talked about wind and solar versus coal and oil, and gasoline versus hybrid vehicles. So here we are, the election is over, but the battle between a gasoline powered vehicles versus a hybrid continues. You might know someone who owns a hybrid car. My uncle bought one in 2006 and for him it works great, but he usually just travels back and forth to work. However, my uncle’s needs are not the same as my dad who is a contractor. In the end, you need to weigh the pros and cons before deciding on which vehicle is best for you. After much research,
One driving force of change is technology. The automobile industry is constantly focusing on technology in order to make themselves and their cars better. They constantly compete to be the “first” one to have the newest and best idea. One of these ideas is an electric vehicle. GM, Ford, and Toyota all have electric automobiles. GM has the Chevy Volt. Volt One of Ford’s electric cars is the Electric Ranger. Ranger Toyota had the Rav4 EV, but due to discouraging sales it stopped production. “Toyota remains committed to developing an "Eco Vehicle," one that will have a minimal impact on the environment.” Rav4 One purpose of the electric automobiles is to have the ability to drive to work using only electricity. Currently during longer trips you would have to use a combination of electric and gasoline power. Electric Car
Electric cars may not be as environmentally friendly as society portrays them to be. Forbes.com states that electric cars tend to be just as polluting to the environment as traditional gas powered cars. In order to transfer energy to the charging station for the cars, the factory that makes the energy must burn carbon in order to power the charging station. The charging stations are what produce the pollution, not the vehicle. Although there has been a push for alternative energy in automotive production, electric cars are just as contaminating to the atmosphere as traditional gas-powered cars.
The basic idea behind the hybrid car involves utilizing a smaller, more efficient engine. A bigger engine, while able to reach high speeds quickly, remains pointless for typical driving and
Hybrid cars are now a fad to save the environment and could be a way to cut down on usage. They use a battery to supplement some power therefore using less gas. You could say this is the answer but in reality, while it does help with emissions, which is a positive factor if you want to save some trees, cost wise, it’s actually worse. In a report released by Consumer Reports earlier this year, they showed that every single hybrid model car that has ever been made is more expensive to own and operate that its non-hybrid counterpart. So while you save a few pennies on the gallon when you gas up, you spend an average of two thousand to ten thousand more over a five year span to drive a hybrid and that’s after you calculate your gas savings. Therefore, hybrids are not
The emissions that is emitted into the atmosphere by the normal gas and deasil cars has a harmful effect on the air quality. According to Google, almost ninety percent of the air pollution is caused by normal cars. The country China has very bad air pollution due to lack of emission restrictions applied by their government. This causes the Chinese people to wear face masks so that the bad air does not affect their health. The Ford Fusion is literally a fusion between gas and electric car. Hybrid cars will decrease the gas emissions.in addition, there will be no emissions produced when the engine is running electrically. This will allow our generation to contribute toward the saving the planet and make a stop to global
People have talked about for years to make greener cars for the environment. Having a hybrid car has bettered the environment, but everyone that has or buys a hybrid car can get financial benefits. Some people that are buying these cars there companies are encouraging them to buy them with some type of reword to really engorge them to buy the car. Some people don’t want to go to hybrid cars because they think it’s a lot more money to keep up with them but in reality it’s a lot easier going to a hybrid then it is sticking to a gas type car.
The cars that are being created are becoming more earth friendly, but the problem is that people want all of these older cars that release such harmful chemicals that just breathing them in will give you health problems that could kill you. When people change their oil in their car, some people make sure that they dispose of the oil safely, but other people are careless and they dump the oil in a place where it will get washed into someones source of drinking water. The cars use gas, and when the gas is going through the car, it breaks down the gas, and harmful chemicals come out of the car.
Despite the costs savings for electric cars, the environmental impact of electric cars are still being debated. In the first comparison of the two vehicles we shall look at their environmental impacts. while the electric car doesn 't produce any emissions through the tailpipe lets look at how it compare in the way of how electricity is produce in order to fuel the car. In this annually pie chart you see that about fifty percent of the electrics car power comes from coal. In total the emission of carbon dioxide is roughly 8000 lb annual per vehicle compared to conventionals average of 13000 lb of carbon dioxide annual per vehicle. So from the data (See table 1 and Chart 1 ) collective electric cars produce about three fifths of the carbon pollution of a diesel car does annual. If fifty percent of drives where to switch to electric vehicles the would be a significantly large drop in carbon dioxide put into the air and thus reduce the effects of greenhouse gases dramatically over a small interval of time.
Some people have also adopted the hybrid car trend, although many people think hybrid cars help the environment as well. Hybrid cars still uses some form of a gasoline when it is being used, thus creating carbon dioxide emissions. Whereas, the electric vehicle produces no emissions.
The Ford Model T, the world’s first mass produced car. It was a breakthrough in transportation. See, back then, everybody thought that we had unlimited fossil fuels such as gasoline. Then, more recently, scientists discovered that we did indeed have limited resources, they also started to notice the polluted emissions of cars. As the demand for more fuel efficient and more eco friendly cars rose, car companies such as GM, Toyota, as well Mitsubishi invested millions in developing fully electric cars. But, for this research, we will be using Tesla Motors as our model standard. Electric cars are now more popular than ever and now they have been mass produced long enough that we are now finally seeing their long term footprint on the environment, and the results are surprising. Electric cars don’t have an eco footprint as good as many people thought due to how they are produced, how they get their electric power as well as their recyclability-or lack thereof.
The first reason why electric cars are better than gas powered car is that the electric car has less emission. Cars powered by electric motors are energy efficient and can help reduce atmospheric pollution. Here`s a question how much cleaner are battery electric cars compared to gasoline powered cars? To find out the union of concerned scientists study the total global worming emission if each vehicle throughout every stage of its life from manufacturing to driving to disposal and there is big difference. Both cars start on the assembly line with similar parts for gasoline car it produces seven metric tons of emission battery electric cars meanwhile are powered by large battery, which requires more energy and materiel’s to produce bringing its emission up to eight metric tons. But what happens when they hit the road gas powered cars produced pollution with every gallon of gas they burn with even more emission coming from extracting refining and
“Oh my gosh the gas went up 50 cents since last night when I came to fill the tank”, is what everyone is always going to say every time they pass any type of gas station. You always hear people comparing gas prices and companies, and in the end most people just end up going to the closest gas station that there is. You also see people choosing cars that are fuel- efficient so they could go long distances without having to waste so much gas, because gas is expensive. So why not try a hybrid car?
Another target segment are consumers who are environmentally conscious. Hybrid automobiles pose many benefits that environmentally conscious consumers can appreciate. Hybrid automobiles have better gas mileage, which allows hybrid drivers on average five additional miles per gallon compared to non-hybrid
Today the use of Hybrid vehicles is growing all over the world, these vehicles are supposedly better for the environment, by lowering greenhouse gas emissions. But what if, these vehicles cause more pollution than their standard automotive counterpart? Would you be so inclined to own one?
