There are many things that humans are doing to contribute to the global break down. Humans are taking away farmland to create factories, and to build homes. People play a huge role in how long that civilization will last and every person does not realize exactly what he is doing to the earth with his everyday activities. People are driving cars that release toxic fumes that hurt the environment, but that does not seem to affect their views on vehicles.
Humans all over the world are taking away land that is valuable for many reasons. The land is being taken away so that we a person can build a factory so that he can get rich, but what he does not realize is that he is taking away all kinds of valuable resources, or what the factory that he is

The cars that are being created are becoming more earth friendly, but the problem is that people want all of these older cars that release such harmful chemicals that just breathing them in will give you health problems that could kill you. When people change their oil in their car, some people make sure that they dispose of the oil safely, but other people are careless and they dump the oil in a place where it will get washed into someones source of drinking water. The cars use gas, and when the gas is going through the car, it breaks down the gas, and harmful chemicals come out of the car.
Scientist have come up with an idea which is called the doomsday clock, and the scientists evaluate the changes in earth's climate, and the conflicts between countries. Personally I find that the doomsday clock is just an idea to keep scientists busy, because you are not able to predict when the world is going to end. The scientists say that the clock is at three minutes until midnight, but you can not really base the time left for earth by the change in climate. Global warming is a huge problem, but there is no reason for scientists to be worried about the end in my
Automobiles create many problems for the environment and the government. Pollution is created from cars, and people are dying from cancer and heart
Currently the human race is coming to terms with one of the most monumental problems of its own creation : air and water pollution. The poisoning of the very air we breathe and the water that we drink has become too prolific to ignore any longer. One culprit ? Automobiles. The more smoke we expel from the exhaust pipe, the more we exhaust our environment and poison the air and water that allows us to exist. But what can we do to reduce the amount of pollution we produce ? It’s not like we can just stop driving ,right ? Wouldn’t it have an adverse effect on our productivity or make it harder to get to work ? It’s not like it would make a difference anyway, right ? Well not necessarily, currently there are entire countries banning automobiles
According to recent speculation, the end of the world will be coming to an unfortunate end on September 23, 2017. These accusations were made mostly by a man named David Meade. He based this assumption off of his study of biblical numerology. There were two previous theories as to when the world would end, which foreseeably would end up not being the case. Meade said that Planet X or a planet called Nibiru would collide with Earth, however, science says otherwise. Scientists say that if there was a real threat we would have been watching these said planets for at least a decade and the planets would have been visible to the naked eye. Our current alignment doesn’t seem to be too much out of the ordinary either. Professor Anthony Aveni attributes the claims made by Meade and other Christians to be made out of boredom or to have a definitive answer to how the world will proceed. Ultimately there is no Nibiru, therefore the end of the world is most likely not going to occur tomorrow.
Cars, just about every household in America has probably at least two parked in their driveway at any given time. The dependency on the gas powered car has substantially increased since it’s invention and production back in 1908 by the Ford Motor Company. As of 2014, it was estimated that there were over 88 million cars produced world-wide and growing every day. (Fig. 1) Even though a lot of these vehicles might be the new Hybrid edition, the majority of them have a dependency on oil and gasoline products for their survival and existence. Petroleum products, such as oil and gasoline do not come cheap or even free to the consumer, even the
Our concerns for the environment continue to increase as people disregard the problems that cars cause and do not attempt to make a change, but if things like “Car free day” continue to become more popular we will no longer have to worry about the effect cars have on our environment.
Humans were always interested in creating a dooms day clock, and non-was more popular in year 2012 than a Mayan dooms day clock. As we all remember 2012 marked as many people saw the end of one of the Mayan long count calendar, which many people viewed as a sign for a catastrophic event (National Geographic). But our catastrophe won’t come from pseudoscience, but mostly from climate changes if we don’t do anything about it. We need to learn how to sustainably cultivate and develop our techniques to better used our farming lands, how technology is impacting earth, or we will suffer the same downfall of the Mayan empire. We might not be in a constant warfare as the Mayans, but earth population problem is reaching its limits as Mayans who have
Earth, a vibrant blue sphere in the solar system, is the only planet in the solar system that is currently known to host a multitude of life. Everything needed to survive and thrive is provided under a thin veil of atmosphere that separates all terrestrial organisms from the vast, frigid void of space. Earth is made up of intricate, collaborating systems that are often unpredictable. Land, water, air, and life-bearing organisms, including humans, collaborate to create a constantly fluctuating biosphere that is still being investigated to have a deeper understanding of its processes. In today’s technological age, the collection and interpretation of data has become paramount to help devise strategies to combat future threats. Data collection comes in many forms, but the collection and interpretation of climate data will be the topic under scrutiny. Recent data collected and analyzed by scientists suggests that the global climate is increasing in temperature and that information may be a cause for alarm. Why would this be a cause for alarm? The alarm should come from an understanding of how each living organism depends on one another to survive. If the delicate biological cycle is damaged or broken, the results could be catastrophic; forever changing the planet. This change in temperature may potentially affect all organisms that are currently known and those that have yet to be discovered and documented. This scenario is far too
On the news, there are many reports about how the arctic ice is shrinking which then leads to the animals that are living there. Since the ice is melting away, the struggles of staying together and hunting for food are increasing. It kind of hurts to know because the earth didn’t belong to us humans, but belonged to the animals. Since the start of industrialization and urbanization, we have been causing havoc to those animals and they just had to deal with it. Imagine you were living up in the Arctic with your family and living happily, until the ground started melting away and everyone was separated. The chance of survival would be lowered because there is no one around to care and watch over for you. Also, as years go by, I feel that the usage of automobiles have increased by a lot. The exhaust emissions have contributed to the air pollution immensely, so that the air in Vancouver and the air in China are on two different levels. China has more than 114 million cars that are used every day9. Imagine all of the car emissions in china being placed into a building the size of Van Tech. The visibility would be zero and inhaling a tiny bit would lead to very serious sicknesses. People can help lower the pollution by riding bikes and conserve energy at
Over time vehicles have become a huge cause of pollution and global warming. As years have passed by vehicles have been designed to be environmentally friendly. This is only happened for the vehicles that are everyday vehicles. Most of those vehicles are still not fully efficient due to the inability of affording a new car. Racing in the biggest thing that is in need of finding a way to limit it to release less pollution.
Oil fueled cars have caused tremendous pollution all around the world. Not only is it causing air pollution but water as well. “60 percent of water pollution comes from…cars leaking oil…” (Energy). More than half of our water is being polluted due to oil. Air pollution has also been affected, gas coming out the tailpipe can cause cancer and contribute
Pollution has become a heated issue in recent years. The destruction of the environment along with serious health problems are the eventual effects. The extensive use and availability of automobiles, tremendous amounts of production in the booming economy and the constant increase in demand for energy, can be held responsible.
The case for attributing the recent global warming to human activities rests on the following undisputed scientific facts:
The fact that so much oil is being taken out of the ground is causing problems because the more that is being taken out the higher the prices will be. According to the Toronto Star “We’re going to have a massive crisis as the cheap petroleum runs out” (Zerbisias3). As the prices increase the more conflicts will arise between countries. All of the oil being exported is majorly used for the transportation and production of energy in other countries. All of hydrocarbon molecules that make up crude oil and petroleum products are highly toxic to many organisms, including humans. The Maclean’s journal states that “ If everyone in North America started driving hybrid cars tomorrow, it would contribute just a fraction of the overall reduction needed to cut global emissions 50 per cent by 2050” (Colin2). If everyone around the world would drive hybrid cars it would make a big difference in the world. All of the toxins being released by the crude oil are of the main reasons why global warming is getting worst and worst as time goes by.
The Earth is a dynamic, constantly changing environment in which the hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere all interact. When one changes slightly the change is then felt through out the spheres. Humans need to understand that the change they cause can have a potential for a disastrous affect on the environment. From injecting the atmosphere with greenhouse gas, or deforestation, all the unnatural things done to the environment will have an unnatural affect that will have to be dealt with. We as humans have a moral responsibility to reduce global warming gasses by changing our modes of transportation, to stop deforestation, and increase government funding into research to inhibit global warming for
It is a known fact that we as a society are having a major affect on the earth’s atmosphere. Since the Industrial Revolution technologies have advanced and a lot of our means of energy give off harmful pollution. Mass production has allowed the number of cars in production to grow exponentially, and the increasing population is keeping them in demand. Pollution is at an all time high now and continues to get worse with the growing populations. More and more people are driving vehicles and able to afford their own transportation, which has really driven the amount of pollution in the atmosphere up over the past century. Emissions from our vehicles make up about twenty percent of the global warming pollution. This poses a real threat to our environment that needs to be changed. I am not saying that is it bad to drive cars or that people should go on a strike from driving. All I am saying is that we need a major change in our current thinking and process. We are battling the effects and concerns of vehicle emissions everyday, and the change is not happening as fast as it should be going. In order for change to take effect there is going to need to be support from everyone. One way that the majority of us can help in this epidemic is by making more environmentally conscious choices. Choosing a cleaner and more efficient fuel option for our vehicles can make loads of difference if everyone joins in, and create plenty of positive externalities that everyone can enjoy.
