Anthony Ruelas is a 15 year-old at a middle school in Texas. He recently helped one of his classmates whose life was in danger. Anthony's classmate began having an asthma attack one day. The student wheezed and gasped for three minutes, and no one did anything. She fell out of her seat, and the teacher claimed that she was waiting for the nurse. However, Anthony decided that he was going to take matters into his own hands.
Anthony picked up his classmate and took her to the nurse's office. The girl received her medication, which saved her life. Anthony should be considered a hero because of his quick actions. However, he has got into trouble with the school. He was suspended for two days because he left class without permission. Anthony's
Throughout the poem “The Hero’s Journey,” Tony Hoagland highlights the main theme that everyone is a hero to better illustrate the idea that anything done to be of some help can make someone a man or woman of courage. Hoagland states that he “understood that someone had waxed and polished [the floor] all night” to demonstrate that he believes that specific “someone” is a hero and that he or she has acted for the benefit of everyone, not just themselves. He writes to let Gawain, a knight, stay out camping for one hundred nights with nothing to protect him so that the knight will begin to comprehend the fact that every second of his personal glory and fame will only result in another’s sacrifice. Hoagland communicates this by giving the knight
Anthony Wayne was born on January 1, 1745 and died on December 15, 1796. Wayne was one of five children born to Isaac and Elizabeth Iddings Wayne in Easttown Township, near Chester County, Pennsylvania. His father was an emigrant from Ireland and came from a Protestant Anglo-Irish family. Growing up, Wayne was very good at math, so naturally, he became a surveyor. He pursued his college degree at his uncle, Gabriel Wayne’s private college in Philadelphia, which is now called the University of Pennsylvania. On the bus ride back to the Donnelly’s house, the bus driver, Mr.Rodrigo, all of the sudden had stood up from the driver’s seat and fell over on to the ground. Cap had taken the situation into his own hands and heroically jumped into action and drove the bus to the hospital and saved Mr.Rodrigo’s life from a heart attack, and saved everyone on the bus from getting into an accident. Once again Cap was cuffed, but luckily Mrs.Donnelly was there to pick him up, making sure Cap didn’t get cuffed again. The next few days were absolute chaos because Cap gave all of the money for the Halloween Dance to charity, when that happened Naomi kissed Cap because she thought he was a special, amazing,wonderful person, without realizing without the money for the dance there was no dance. Cap was rising to the face of popularity at Claverage Middle School! Cap replaced Zach at his lunch table in the cafeteria! That made Zach hungry for revenge. People can be real heros when they don’t give up.. This taught me never to give up and stay helpful like Lainie. An issue in the world is that people give up too easily. But Jimmy’s mom didn’t give up that’s why she is a hero. To me this is why the mom is a
One of the best known and important Canadian figures Louis Riel is a great example of how life is destined with controversies and battles of inauguration. Most people dream to be a hero, a hero that is admired, courageous, noble, and a role model to everyone because of what they have achieved. Everyone’s point of view of being a hero is different, some might state that being a hero means solving crimes and wears capes like all superhero in movies. The others might say that a hero is a soldier that fights for their country. Peter Brownrigg, a fourteen-year-old Cumberland farm boy is a hero that does not wear a cape. Peter’s acts of determination and outstanding bravery pushes him to defeat Sir Philip Morton and his followers in their objective to assassinate the queen of England in the story Cue for Treason by Geoffrey Trease.
A Hero meets all kinds of people, some who help them, and others who completely go against them; while meeting these people the Hero must also go through a series of challenges that will either make them or break them. Leigh Anne comes across people who are exceedingly willing to help her in her journey. Coach Cotton, for example, helped her by taking Michael under his wing, and getting him accepted to Wingate Christian School. Coach Cotton was able to look past the fact that he wanted Michael at some point to play football for him, and help him with his academics. Ms. Boswell, Michael’s science teacher, helps Michael with his course work, she is, to some extent, Michael’s voice to his other teachers. Although the film never shows Leigh Anne and Ms. Boswell meeting, it is safe to assume that they are allies. When Michael needs a tutor to help him bring up his GPA Leigh Anne hires Miss Sue. Miss Sue stands by Leigh Anne and Michael even after Michael graduates from Wingate. In order to be a Campbellian Hero, Leigh Anne must have allies who help her along the way. She could not possibly complete her task by herself. Leigh Anne has a plethora of tests during her journey. Leigh Anne’s first test is when

Laurie, at first, did not seem at all interested. But when Laurie’s father and I both said that we knew that he was Charles, he just stared at us. “Laurie, or should I say Charles,” said Laurie’s father, “Your mother and I are very upset at your behavior.” “Lying to us is never the right thing to do. Not to talk about all the other trouble you have caused. Kicking the teacher, yelling in the classroom, being fresh, and telling other kids to say swear words is absolutely not ok Laurie!” I could see that Laurie felt a sense of fear. “Laurie,” I said, “Your father and I are going to have to punish you for what you have done. But first, we need you to apologize to your teacher and all of the students for your behavior during the past couple weeks. Do you know what it means to apologize?” “It means to say sorry,” said Laurie. “Correct,” I said. “So when you go to school today, I will ask your teacher to give you a chance to have a word
A hero should be able to overcome obstacles and gain something from it. Junior being courageous and go against what is seen as logical for someone like him drives him to make more decisions that seems to have a negative outcome, but ultimately has a positive one instead. Although it might seem extremely tempting to give up, resilience will yield a payoff that is worth all the blood, sweat and tears. Furthermore, motivation from anyone will push an individual to their limits to find out what they can do. Junior demonstrates these traits to find a better life, and to do that, he must experience harsh times. Adversities will be a part of every life, but an individual would have to decide if they would allow it to destroy them, or stand their ground to be a
It’s hard to be a hero when you do some bad things to get there. In the novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton there are two completely different sides of town. The Socs are the rich kids who drive expensive cars and wear expensive clothes and the Greasers are considered the bums. They don’t have money and they don’t get whatever they want, they also have to work extra hard to get to where they want to be. If you are considered a greaser you are a muffin and the Socs are the cupcakes. Everybody would prefer a cupcake over a muffin, but in this story two boys were just trying to protect themselves and they get into some trouble while doing it so, they hit the road. I am going to tell you about whether or not Ponyboy and Johnny are heroes.
In relation to point one, something that makes Ponyboy Curtis a hero was his decision to risk his life and run into the burning church to save the children.

In his five years of life, young Nathaniel Jr. has become a hero. By relaying his location in a way he was able to understand, the courageous five-year-old may have saved his father’s life. Nathaniel Jr. is not the definition of a common hero, yet through his actions he has become a hero. Although Nathaniel Jr. May be only five, he conveys many qualities of a hero, such as;
Everyone has a courageous moment in their life, but Johnny has multiple moments where he shows a true act of courage. The first event that shows that Johnny is courageous is when he saved Ponyboy from the Socs. There has been this rivalry between the Socs and the Greasers (the rich and the poor) which has caused a lot of fights. When Johnny’s best friend Ponyboy and him were in the park they were jumped by Bob and his group of Socs. They were drowning Ponyboy in the fountain and Johnny decided to take a courageous action and stab Bob to save Ponyboy. If it was not for Johnny, Ponyboy would be dead. Johnny knew that stabbing Bob would get him in trouble with the police, but he took the chance. “ You really killed him, huh, Johnny ?...
