Happiness is something that all people, no matter what race, gender, or social class, strive for. Based on lifestyle or perspective each person has their independent idea of what happiness is, but everyone shares an end goal to live their definition of a happy life. Many people, though, struggle in finding their way to this goal. They face hardships and challenges that test their happiness every day. Happy is a word that derived from the Middle English language and is one word that has not really changed over time. The meaning of happy has always meant a pleasant feeling, fortunate, or lucky. It unlocks many doors and brings new opportunities to the table.
During the holocaust many jews were brutally murdered just for their ethnicity. In the early 1900s a man named Adolf Hitler came into power in Germany. He convinced many people that the Germans were superior and Jews were inferior. Adolf Hitler convinced the people that the jews were the source of all their problems from world war one. There were many historical events that occurred in the diary of Anne Frank. Though they all didn't happen in the annex, it had a big impact on their lives in the annex.
The Holocaust had various effects on millions of Jews. Anne Frank’s experience differed from other experiences Jewish children had. At the same time, however, there were common factors in each of their lives. From their way of living to emotional consequences, the Holocaust was a difficult situation for all of these children.

Yet I cling to them because I still believe in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.” (Anne Frank) Anne Frank was one of the many children who fell victim to the Holocaust during the World War II. The holocaust is a sad event that happened in history. There were Jews who lost their lives because their religion was seen as a dangerous race to society. Many Jews lost their lives do to that judgement. This talks and goes on in the book The Diary Of Anne Frank. In the book the girl Anne Frank is very calm and collected in this time she said “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart. I believe that the quote is true. I say this because in the book they all had their days were they were all upset or sad, but other than that they all had a little happiness in them.
The pursuit of happiness is critical in our lives. Oftentimes, we become confused as to what defines happiness. Happiness is an emotion, but it may also be the steps we take to feel said emotion. Happiness is using virtues and achieving your goal, while appreciating the little things in life.
Anne Frank teaches the importance of enthusiasm while she was in hiding. Anne and her family were described in Time’s article called, Anne Frank, which describes the time they were forced hide. “Otto and Edith Frank, their two daughters Margot and Anne and the Van Pels family decided to disappear themselves… But Anne had an instrument of freedom in an autograph book she had received for her 13th birthday” (Rosenbllat, Roger). The two families decided to hide after the Holocaust had gotten to them. A diary was given to Anne to help her get through the Holocaust to describe her opinions in private. An entry was found from Anne’s diary in an article describing how Anne felt about the war. “What I'm experiencing here is a good beginning to an interesting life, and that's the reason--the only reason--why I have to laugh at the humorous side of the most dangerous moments . . . I'm young and strong and living through a big adventure” (qtd. in Frank). Anne knew that becoming pessimistic while in hiding would make matters worse for her and her family. The enthusiasm she had allowed her to laugh through troublesome times in her life. Anne’s love for life did not dim after she was captured, "… but until a few months before her
It was one of the many saddest events that occurred in the history of the world. In the following paragraphs you will be reading a summary or a “movie review”, what ever might call it, about Anne Frank. At the end of the review I will write about my opinion to the movie.
In the end, “Why should anyone have to have such a hard life for those few short years on earth?”(Frank 1). We are all human. so , if we were just kind and giving to each other, the world would be better off. Treating others equally and being kind are two very important moral lessons in life; Anne Frank understood them at such a young age and wanted to spread them through her
Happiness is not a strange term to us. We usually use that word to express our feelings in every day. Additionally, more than a word, “happiness” is what we really need and always seek in life. However, finding and understanding deeply its meaning is not easy. The online dictionary, “vocabulary.com” defines, “Happiness is a sense of well-being, joy, or contentment. When people are successful, or safe, or lucky, they feel happiness.” Thus, we always wonder if we are happy or how could we be happier in our life. Happiness, therefore, becomes a goal for everybody.
