As a senior at the University of California, Davis, I am interested in applying for an internship with your law firm. This internship intrigued me because I am a certified paralegal, and I believe that an internship in your office will give me an opportunity to develop and hone in on my skills. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science and Sociology with an emphasis in Law and Society. With my dedicated work ethic and passion for law, I am confident that I will be an asset to your office for the summer.
Over the past year, I have been working as a Community Assistant at the West Village apartment complex in Davis. I am a liaison between residents and professional housing staff, providing effective customer service
I am writing to express my sincere interest in a Summer Associate position at Orrick’s Sacramento office. Spending another summer as a member of the Orrick legal team would be a remarkable opportunity to continue my development as an aspiring litigator, and to build upon the knowledge that I have gained during the 2015 Summer Associate program. I am particularly interested in continuing my legal career with Orrick because of the opportunities for professional growth that the firm provides, and the overwhelmingly positive culture. I am a strong candidate for this position as a result of my academic achievements, and because I personally espouse the core values that uphold Orrick’s unique culture.

There are a variety of reasons that I am highly interested in becoming a community assistant for Barrett, The Honors College. As a Barrett student I have found that the Barrett community is one that is both inclusive and inspiring. It is my hope that as a community assistant I could help extend and enhance the unique Barrett community in the residence halls. Furthermore, I want to be a valuable resource and mentor for Barrett students. Additionally, I want to be a community assistant because service is something I am passionate about. Serving the Barrett community and its residents is something that I would thoroughly enjoy and excel at. I have gotten a taste of what it means to be a part of and a leader of the Barrett residential community through the Barrett Residential Council. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I would like to be able to get more involved with this community by becoming a community assistant. The Barrett community is something that I feel privileged to be a part of. In my opinion the Barrett experience is about connecting with a variety of individuals and learning from a combination of opinions and backgrounds. The Barrett experience is a special one, and one I am thankful
We were intorduced last June at the MACPA Student Leadership Academy at Towson University. We had spoken about the potential for a summer internship at Smith Elliot Kearns. I will graduate summa cum laude with my bachelors in accounting from Frostburg this May and will be attending law school this fall at the College of William and Mary. I think an internship with your firm would provide me a great opportunity to gain relevant real world experience this summer. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your consideration.
From since I was a young child I have always wanted to go into the field of Human Services. As I have grown I have decided that I would go into the Criminal Justice side of Human Services. By this I mean that I still want to help people, but I want to help people who have become criminals or who are on the path of becoming criminals. I especially want to help children and teens who have been in and out of a Juvenal Detention Center. From this passion I have decided that I want to go into one of three careers. These careers are as follows; Juvenile Defense Attorneys, Juvenile Counselor, or Juvenile Corrections Officer.
Mother Theresa once said “At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by "I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.” The field of Human Services is made up of jobs and careers that involve helping to meet the needs of the population. Within this field, there are a wide variety of jobs and titles. One such title is Community Support Specialist. Community Support Specialists with Singing River Services provide a crucial service to society because they guide homeless people through the many processes
As for child welfare workers, they tend to be more associated with the field of criminal justice and law enforcement than social workers. Child welfare caseworkers have become responsible for implementing the policies and laws created to provide children with protection and permanent housing residence (Zell, 85). Child welfare workers usually hold and finalize decisions that may determine life or death on a daily basis, creating some form of difference in the lives of at-risk families and children (Brittain and Potter, 3). Many individuals view the child welfare workforce as a constant state of crisis and elevated stress. However, numerous workers succeed in this career path (Brittain and Potter, 3). Being exposed to difficult situations repeatedly,
I am writing to express my interest in securing a position as an Intern for the House Judiciary Committee this summer. I am currently a sophomore at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, studying both Political Science and Philosophy on the Pre-Law track. My interests, experience and enthusiasm drew me to this opportunity and I would like to share a little about myself.
I am writing to apply for the Community Support Worker/Administrative Assistant position (Tracking Code 1359-709) with Riverside Community Care. Currently perusing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am looking forward to apply my past experiences and current studies into providing services with the organization. I believe that my research experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and previous coursework has provided me with the skills required to perform effectively in this position.
I specifically chose this internship experience because previously, I held internships at Flood Law, a defense law firm, and the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office and I figured this internship is a progression. I was definitely interested in exploring the different areas in law to figure out what it is that I wanted and did not want to do and this internship, by far has helped me do that. This internship experience has shaped my career ambitions, as I will further go into detail during the duration of this paper, by allowing me to be exposed to the different areas of law, which then made me decide on what I found to be interested in and areas I did not so much
For example, one of the primary duties of this internship is to write direct examination of witnesses to be used in court. From experience competing with the University of Minnesota Mock Trial Association, I have compiled a number of direct examination and am very comfortable with this kind of work. This familiarity allows me to spend more time asking important questions about the work of an attorney and develop new skills rather than spend time learning how to do a new job. This paired with my genuine excitement towards the work that I will be doing will add to the productive environment and will overall make me a positive addition to the office. Finally, as this is the first time that the City Attorney’s office has offered an internship position to a university student, I will hopefully inspire the office to offer this position in the future so that more students from Manitowoc can explore the legal field through hands on experience and work to achieve their career
Administrative assistants must be able to handle challenging situations and many details at once. The assistants are what keeps an office running while supporting the efforts of a business owner executive, manager, or professional group. Their main responsibility is to keep their place of employment running smoothly, thus all of their duties relate back to the operational proceedings of an office. These duties may include scheduling meetings, answering phones, managing databases, disseminating information (through email and internal memos), creating spreadsheets, generating reports, ordering equipment, and working with clients or customers. People who demonstrate these skills in this field can advance to higher
I am a first-year law student at The George Washington University Law School and I am writing to apply to the internship program with the US DOJ (OFFICE/SECTION) for the Summer of 2017. I wish to serve as an intern in this office because I have an interest in criminal law and a passion for public service.
The internship was offered to twelve law students who demonstrated academic competency and a broad range of personal attributes including interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to teamwork, cultural sensitivity, leadership, personal drive and motivation. The internship was predominately based in Phnom Penh, and involved travel to Siam Reap, Battambang, and Ratanakiri provinces.
While most of my internship rotations are located in Los Angeles, California I will need to travel twice during my 10-month internship. In late June of 2017, I will be traveling to Greely, Colorado for a 3-day orientation at the University of Northern Colorado. I estimate about 1,000 in expenses. Furthermore, I will be traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada for my clinical rotation in late August to late October 2017. An estimate about an additional 5,200 in living and travel expenses for those 8 weeks. Unfortunately, my school does not provide scholarships or financial assistance/loans for their interns. My desire to pursue a career as a dietitian stems from my passion for disease prevention and control in children and the elderly. My curiosity began
