To analyze:
Chemical formula to check to see if it is balanced.
Introduction:
A chemical formula describe a substance, down to the specific molecules which make it up.
Explanation of Solution
A chemical equation depict a substance, down to the particular molecules which make it up. A chemical equation can said to be balanced when the number of atom on the left side is equal to the number of atom present in the right side of the chemical equation.
Example:
HCl (aq) + NaOH (aq) → NaCl (aq) + H2O (l)
The number of hydrogen atom on both side is 2.
The number of chlorine atom on both side is 1.
The number of sodium atom on both side is 1.
The number of oxygen atom on both side is 1.
In this above equation, the number of atom on the left side is equal to the right hand side, so, it is a balanced chemical equation.
So, the chemical formula said to be balanced when the reactant is equal to the product which means that the number of atom on the both side is in equal ratio.
