Question
Chapter 6, Problem 64P
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation: This is to determine whether a red blood cell undergo crenation, hemolysis or no change in each solution.
Concept Introduction:
The term crenation is used to explain the situation of cell or other object if it is exposed to a hypertonic solution. Here, hypertonic solution contains more dissolved particles like salts than in normal cells and blood.
Hemolysis is defined as destruction or rapture of the red blood cells.
