Introduction The Commonwealth of Kentucky enacted law governing open records in 1976. The law mandates agencies release applicable records to the public upon appropriate requests. The Louisville Metro Police Department adopted a policy to address and comply with this law. I will review and discuss how LMPD applies its policy in order to stay in compliance with this law.
