There is no debate on whether women are discriminated against in the workplace. It is evident in census data; in 1998 women made $.73 to the dollar of which was paid to men. Even today, there is still a pay gap that exists between women and men. It is said that some of the organizations that are pro-equal pay, including some unions, support the idea that the government should set wages for all jobs.
