Concert Review 2 On April 26th, 2017, I attended a His Little Feet concert at the Lutheran Church in Sterling Colorado. The concert started at 6 PM on a Wednesday night. We sat in the church pews, there were about 12 on each side in a big room with a high ceiling. The walls where brick and the ceiling came to a point. I noticed there was a big cross behind the stage and a Jesus statue on the left of it. Everyone was dressed casually and there were people of all ages. In the front right pews
The second concert I attended was the Shepherd school of music collegium concert at Rice University. The program featured music from the renaissance and was a little bit different then the orchestra concert I attended. For one there were fewer musicians. It had a more intimate setting, not a big theater but rather a small rehearsal hall. The musicians exchanged in and out after there part of the performance was over and there was some singing as well. The beginning of the concert started off with
The final course of the meal was best paired with Piano Concerto No.20 in Dminor, K.466:1. Allegro, performed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sir Clifford Curzo, Benjamin Britten, all along side the The English Chamber Orchestra. The first note hit- first the strings. The, viola, cello, violin and double bass. A blue hue brightened the room and with every new note the color intensified. The Orchestra -the brass, percussion and woodwinds began to jolt in excitement joined by the piano. Yellow, Orange
When I first walked into the Cole Concert Hall I felt it was smaller than what I pictured. When I sat down I noticed how tall the ceiling was and I was quite impressed. Now on the stage it had this really tall white wall with curves in it. I thought they were just for design till someone opened the wall and started moving the piano onto the stage. The audience was a very small and most of them were dressed up properly for the event. The piece I enjoyed the most was Sequenza V. It was composed in
Although I had already bought my ticket before the announcement that Cute Is What We Aim For would be joining We The Kings on tour, I was incredibly excited for both bands and thoroughly enjoyed myself at We The Kings 10. Up first was Astro Lasso (★★★☆☆), an incredibly new band embarking on their first tour. Their music was unknown to me, and upon listening to it did not intrigue me enough to purchase an album or listen further; however, their connection with the crowd and stage presence during their
to many concerts, this was my first country concert and it got pretty wild. Along with the amazing performances, with the powerful effect their songs had on the audiences there was a lot more drama than expected. When the concert had come to a close there were over 25 arrests and kicked out over 100 other people. This concert definitely left its mark, but might have not been for the best reason. Other than the drama over the packed in audiences this concert was truly memorable. The concert had a total
I have come across it at other such events I have not heard it otherwise. Thus it is a genre that I had to do some research on in order to better appreciate what I was hearing. This concert was basically split into two parts each part had a main soloist on guitar that was accompanied by other musicians. The concert hall, since this was going to be mainly solo music to begin with, had all of the sound absorbing curtains up so that all would be able to hear the solo guitarist. A main center spot light
The Senior Dance concert, 9 o’ clock showing consisted of seven dance pieces. The first piece was called “Heavy Dew”, this piece was comprised of a six-person group dance. The backdrop was a blue shading. The sounds in this piece were waterfalls, and rainforest sounds. The movements made me feel as though the dancers were creatures in a wilderness or a rainforest, it was fast paced. For the first part of the performance the group of girls are dancing in front of the audience together, then as the
The concert could be define as the act of performing in public. In order to our music appreciation class to synchronize the theory to the practice. We, students, have been requited by our instructor to write a concert review as an assignment. It is in that sense that I went to the Levitt pavilion and attend to Walt wilkins & mystiqueros. Levitt pavilion is a free outdoor concert event, one of the music and performing arts in Texas, located at downtown Arlington, west Abram Street. On June 27, 2015
four SHS choirs showed the town of Sartell what they’re made of in the form of a Fall Concert. To start off the night, each of the choirs sang around three songs, which were performed beautifully. Then, the 9th grade Concert Band played two spectacular songs. The final group of the night, and the star of this review, was the SHS Wind Ensemble. They performed two pieces alone and one combined piece with the Concert Band and all of the choirs singing behind them. “Imaginarium” was the first piece played
