• Product of power property: $a^m\cdot a^n=a^{m+n}$
• Quotient of powers property: $\frac{a^m}{a^n}=a^{m-n}$
• The number of significant digits in a product or quotient is as many significant digits as the least number of significant digits in any of the numbers involved.

In order to simplify the given expression $\left(4.237\times {10}^4\right)\left(2.01\times {10}^{-2}\right)$ using scientific notation, use the exponent properties and simplify further as shown below
