Steps to trace and construct a perpendicular bisector of given segment;
Step 1: Put your tracing paper on the given figure.
Step 2: Use your pencil to draw along the line segment.
Step 3: You will get a congruent segment of the given segment on your tracing paper.
Step 4: Transfer that drawn segment from tracing paper to notebook.
Step 5: Now, put your compass at one end of the segment and make an arc on both side of the segment.
Step 6: Do it again from on another end cutting the arcs drawn from the first end.
Step 7: Draw a line passing through the two cutting points.
Thus, the drawn line will be the perpendicular bisector of the given segment.
