Chapter 9, Problem 1PIT
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The place of the terms-chromatid, centromere, nondisjunction, fertilization, and mitosis in the concept map of sexual reproduction and meiosis.
Introduction:
Sexual reproduction involves two parents, in which the male parent contributes sperm cells to fertilize the female’s egg cell to begin the next generation. The sperm and the egg cells are called gametes, which are haploid and get fertilized to form a diploid zygote. The germ cells undergo meiosis and the somatic cells undergo mitosis.
