Introduction:

Trisomy is the addition of a single chromosome in the whole set of chromosome. Addition of single chromosome refers to the gain of one extra homologous copy of individual chromosome. Trisomy is represented as $\text{2n}+\text{1}$. Down syndrome is the trisomy of chromosome $21$.

Some of the challenges that would be faced by scientist while applying the approach of inactivating genes for controlling Down syndrome.

Introduction:

One of the approach scientist might have been trying to alleviate the symptoms is to inactivate the extra copy of chromosome $21$. The extra copy of chromosome would produce extra protein products.
