The fibrous synarthrotic joint that is found between the skull bones is called sutures. There are 20 sutures found in the human skull. The main ones are lambdoid suture, sagittal suture, coronal suture, squamosal suture, and frontonasal suture. Gomphoses are a type of fibrous joint that articulates each tooth to its bony socket.
