Mis pasatiempos y deportes favoritos son muy diferentes que los Chilenos.

Yo vivo en Estados Unidos y los pasatiempos que tenemos que son similares son las que se hacen en casa como leer y ver televisión, ver películas, navegar en internet y deportes como caminar, correr, trotar, jugar al fútbol, jugar al basquetbol. Pero los deportes extremos como esquiar, patinar sobre el hielo, escalar montañas, ir a caminar en el desierto o ir a nadar en las playas del oceáno son muy diferentes en Estados Unidos que en Chile. Primero es por la geografía. Estados Unidos es muy grande y los climas no cambian tan facilmente sin recorrer grandes distancias. Chile en cambio es más estrecho y sus climas cambian constantemente sin necesidad de recorrer enormes distancias.

Explanation of Solution

The sports and leisure activities that we practice in the USA and Chile that are similar are those that we practice in or near our home like walking, running, jogging. Leisure activities such as watching T.V. reading, watching a movie online etc. However, the activities and sports that are extreme such as climbing, hiking, skiing, rafting, swimming, kayaking etc. we would need to travel great distances to find a place where we practice these sports. This is because the USA is a big country and its climate doesn’t change unless we travel long distances. Chile in the other hand, its territory is narrow and its climate changes so fast without traveling great distances. This is why my activities with the Chileans are very different.
