Geometry A triangle with all sides of equal length is called an equilateral triangle. If the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is equal to the length of a side squared, what is the length (in feet) of each side of the triangle?
The charts in exercises 33–36 list the numbers in two different but related sequences. The first sequence is labeled x and the second y. Refer to the table below to determine the mathematical relationship between x and y.
To Obtain Each Number in Sequence y:
a. Add the same number to each x.
b. Subtract the same number from each x.
c. Add (or subtract) a sequence of numbers to (from) each
d. Multiply or divide each x by the same number.
e. Raise x to a power.
f. Any combination of (a)–(e)
